"Unchained Melody" is a 1955 song with music by Alex North and lyrics by Hy Zaret. North wrote the music as a theme for the little-known prison film Unchained, hence the song title. Todd Duncan sang the vocals for the film soundtrack. It has since become a standard and one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, most notably by the Righteous Brothers. According to the song's publishing administrator, over 1,500 recordings of "Unchained Melody" have been made by more than 670 artists, in multiple languages.

"Amazed" is a power ballad by American country music group Lonestar, released on March 22, 1999, for country radio and on December 13 of that same year for pop radio as the second single from their third studio album Lonely Grill (1999). It is the band's longest-lasting number one single and biggest hit, spending eight weeks at the top of the Billboard country chart. The song was written by Marv Green, Aimee Mayo, and Chris Lindsey. A remix of the song was released in December 1999, and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 2 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts in 2000. The song has sold over 1,650,000 digital copies in the US as of February 2016.
The discography of American country artist Sara Evans consists of ten studio albums, three compilation albums, two extended plays, one video album, three additional albums, 39 singles, and four other charted songs. After briefly recording with "E and S Records", Evans reworked her musical direction and signed with RCA Records in 1997. Her debut album, Three Chords and the Truth, was released in July 1997. Although the singles were unsuccessful, it was critically acclaimed. Her second studio album was released in September 1998 entitled No Place That Far. The title track reached the top of the Billboard Hot Country Singles and Tracks chart. The success helped the album earn gold certification in the United States. Evans' third studio album, Born to Fly, was released in October 2000. Born to Fly reached number six on the Top Country Albums chart and the top-sixty of the Billboard 200. Its title track became her second number-one hit on the Hot Country Songs chart. The album also spawned the hits "I Could Not Ask for More", "Saints & Angels", and "I Keep Looking". It is the best-selling album of Evans' career, having been certified 2x platinum in the United States. In August 2003, she released the pop-inspired Restless, whose lead single "Perfect" reached the Top 5. Restless was certified platinum in the United States shortly after the success of its third single "Suds in the Bucket", which became Evans' third number one hit.
"Boot Scootin' Boogie" is a song first recorded by the band Asleep at the Wheel for their 1990 album, Keepin' Me Up Nights. American country music duo Brooks & Dunn recorded a cover version, which was included on their 1991 debut album, Brand New Man. It originally served as the B-side to their second single, "My Next Broken Heart". It became the duo's fourth single release and fourth consecutive number-one single on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.
"Could've Been Me" is a song written by Reed Nielsen and Monty Powell, and performed by American country music artist Billy Ray Cyrus. It was released in July 1992 as the second single from his multi-platinum selling debut album, Some Gave All. The song reached number 2 on the U.S. Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, behind "Love's Got a Hold on You" by Alan Jackson and it also reached number-one on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks chart. It was the follow-up to the number 1 song, "Achy Breaky Heart".

It was released in July 1999 as the first single from her album Emotion. McBride originally recorded "I Love You" for the 1999 film's soundtrack, Runaway Bride, starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. The promotion the song got on the soundtrack is one of the reasons for its high chart performance. The single was then released on her upcoming album.
"I Could Not Ask for More" is a song composed by American songwriter Diane Warren and originally recorded and released in February 1999, by American recording artist Edwin McCain for the original soundtrack of the 1999 romantic drama film Message in a Bottle, starring Kevin Costner, Robin Wright Penn and Paul Newman.
