The People's Justice Party ; often known simply as KEADILAN or PKR, is a reformist political party in Malaysia formed on 3 August 2003 through a merger of the party's predecessor, the National Justice Party, with the socialist Malaysian People's Party. The party's predecessor was founded by Wan Azizah Wan Ismail during the height of the Reformasi movement on 4 April 1999 after the arrest of her husband, former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Please Give Me a Job! is a Malaysian reality television programme produced by Red Communications and 8TV which features 10 fresh graduates vying for job placements in various companies. In each episode, the contestants compete in groups and take on various tasks. Created by Ahmad Izham Omar in cooperation with SEGi university college, it is hosted by Azah Yasmin. Datuk Clement Hii as the CEO of SEGi Education Group also plays a role in the show as mentor to the contestants, who appears in the beginning of each episode to give a short briefing to them in which he gives words of wisdom.
One in a Million is Malaysia's first ever reality singing competition to offer a RM 1 million prize to the winner. The second season began on 16 November 2007, resuming to its former timeslot at 9:30 pm on 8TV. The season had been marred by a restriction imposed on 8TV against airing live telecasts, as a result of season one's runner-up Faizal Tahir breaching the decency code during 8TV's birthday concert on mid-January 2008. Nevertheless, the show went on and on 29 February 2008, in a Grand Finale which was aired delayed by 30 minutes from Shah Alam, Sabahan Norayu Damit became the overall champion and new owner of RM1,000,000 as funding for a musical career.

Shah Indrawan bin Ismail, known as Tomok, is a Malaysian singer and the winner of the third season of One in a Million (OIAM), a reality TV singing competition. 2017 in Malaysia is Malaysia's 60th anniversary of its independence and 54th anniversary of its formation of Malaysia.
On the night of 13 November 2015, Paris suffered a series of terror attacks. In reaction to those events, many individuals, governments, and other organisations around the world expressed their solidarity with France and with the victims. Many world leaders issued statements, mostly strongly condemning the attacks and vowing to stand by and support France. Public vigils took place in many international cities, and a number of world landmarks were illuminated in the colours of the French flag. Members of the public expressed their solidarity through social media by sharing images, notably the "Peace for Paris" symbol, designed by the French graphic designer Jean Jullien, and through the slogans, "Pray for Paris" and "Je suis Paris".

The 2020–2022 Malaysian political crisis was triggered after several Members of Parliament (MPs) of the 14th Malaysian Parliament changed party support, leading to the loss of a parliamentary majority, the collapse of two successive coalition governments, and the resignation of two Prime Ministers. The political crisis culminated in a 2022 snap general election and eventual formation of a coalition government. This crisis ended in 2022 and Malaysian political crisis continued in the State of Sabah known as 2023 Kinabalu Move.
