The Archies Christmas Album is the sixth studio album released by The Archies, a fictional band from the Archie Comics. It is the first Archies album since 1971. [1] It features vocals from Ron Dante back as Archie, as well as Danielle Van Zyl as Betty Cooper and Kelly-Lynn as Veronica. [2]

They are best remembered for their appearance in the animated TV series The Archie Show. In the context of the series, the band was founded by guitarist/vocalist Archie Andrews, drummer Jughead Jones, bassist Reggie Mantle, percussionist/vocalist Betty Cooper and keyboardist/vocalist Veronica Lodge. In the cartoons, Veronica is shown playing a large keyboard instrument styled after the X-66, a then-current top-of-the-line organ made by the Hammond Organ Company.

It was originally recorded by the Archies, a fictional band of studio musicians linked to the 1968–69 US Saturday morning TV cartoon The Archie Show, inspired by the Archie Comics. In the autumn of 1969 the single topped both Billboard's Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart, ranking number one for the year in both America and the UK. The Archies is the debut studio album by The Archies, a fictional pop band from the Archie comics. The album was originally released on the Calendar Records label in 1968 and included 12 songs.
