The Art of Letting Go is the third studio album by American songwriter and Alter Bridge lead singer Myles Kennedy. It is the follow-up to 2021's The Ides of March . It was released on October 11, 2024, via Napalm Records.
On June 10, 2024, Myles Kennedy announced his third solo album, further divulging that the project begins with riff-heavy songs, and closes in a haunting fashion. [1]
In an interview, Kennedy discussed the difference between releasing a solo album compared to his work with Slash and Alter Bridge, and explained that there are a ton of songs and ideas that he would like to express that simply wouldn't work in other realms. [2]

Purple is the second studio album by the American rock band Stone Temple Pilots, released on June 7, 1994, by Atlantic Records. The album, building on the foundation laid by the band's debut album Core (1992), was a major commercial success, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 252,000 copies sold in its first week. It remained at the top of the chart for three weeks, eventually selling over six million copies. It spawned a number of successful singles; "Vasoline" and "Interstate Love Song" both topped the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and reached number 2 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart, while "Big Empty" also reached the top ten on both charts. Alter Bridge is an American rock band from Orlando, Florida. The band was formed in 2004 by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Myles Kennedy, lead guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips. After their former band Creed became inactive in 2003, Tremonti and Phillips formed a new band with former bandmate Marshall and new member Kennedy; Alter Bridge was formally unveiled in January 2004, months before Creed's official breakup in June.
Slash is the debut solo studio album by American rock and roll musician Slash, best known as the lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses. Fortress is the fourth studio album by American rock band Alter Bridge, released by Roadrunner Records on September 25, 2013. Michael Baskette, who produced Alter Bridge's previous two albums, Blackbird (2007) and AB III (2010), returned as the producer. It was released by Roadrunner Records worldwide except in the United States, where it was self-released on October 8, 2013, through Warner Music, Roadrunner Records passed to be a subsidiary of Warner Music, after EMI disappear a year before. Year of the Tiger is the debut studio album by American musician and singer-songwriter Myles Kennedy. His first release as a solo artist, it was released on March 9, 2018, by Napalm Records. The album is a musical departure from the hard rock music of Kennedy's other projects, instead featuring a stripped-back blues-based sound. A concept album, it explores the death of Kennedy's father in 1974, the year of the Tiger in the Chinese calendar.
A Dying Machine is the fourth studio album and first concept album by American heavy metal band Tremonti. It was released on June 8, 2018, via Napalm Records. The record was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, who produced Tremonti's past three records and also produced Alter Bridge's records. The album also features Eric Friedman playing bass once again since Wolfgang Van Halen departed the band. The album is accompanied by a full-length novel under the same name written by Mark Tremonti and John Shirley, tying together loose ends of the album's plot. Frontman Mark Tremonti stated that the album is the most dynamic and diverse in his entire catalog. The album's first radio single, "Take You with Me", was released April 16, 2018. The single peaked at number 32 on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart in June 2018.
Living the Dream is the fourth solo album by guitarist Slash and the third to feature Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. It was released on September 21, 2018, on Slash's own record label Snakepit Records. The album was produced by Michael Baskette, who also produced the previous record World on Fire.
Victorious is the tenth studio album by American Christian rock band Skillet, released on August 2, 2019. The album was announced on May 7, 2019, and a lyric video was released for the track "Legendary" at the same time on the band's YouTube channel. The band released the song "You Ain't Ready" on July 26, 2019, as a promotional single. "Legendary" was later chosen to be the new theme song for a new look WWE Raw, which debuted in 2019.
Walk the Sky is the sixth studio album by American rock band Alter Bridge, released on October 18, 2019 via Napalm Records. It was produced by the band's longtime collaborator Michael Baskette, who has produced all of the band's albums since 2007's Blackbird. The album's first single, "Wouldn't You Rather", was released on June 28, 2019. A second single, "Pay No Mind", was released on July 25, 2019, with four further singles, "Take the Crown", "In the Deep", "Dying Light", and "Godspeed" later released. The album's cover art was designed by Dan Tremonti, brother of guitarist Mark Tremonti; its packaging was designed by Sturge Media and Janus Music Mgmt. Along with the announcement of the album's release, it was also revealed that the band would embark on a European tour with Shinedown, Sevendust and the Raven Age towards the end of 2019.
The Ides of March is the second solo album by American singer and guitarist Myles Kennedy. It was released on May 14, 2021 via Napalm Records. In an interview with Kylie Olsson, Kennedy stated that he was listening to this record and told himself that he basically just made a "rock" record but only adding elements from his previous solo effort like acoustic guitar and lap steel guitar.

It was ranked as the second best guitar album of 2022 by Guitar World readers, who also ranked the solo of the title track as the 5th best guitar solo of 2022.
