The Mellotron is an electro-mechanical musical instrument developed in Birmingham, England, in 1963. It is played by pressing its keys, each of which causes a length of magnetic tape to contact a capstan, which pulls it across a playback head. As the key is released, the tape is retracted by a spring to its initial position. Different portions of the tape can be played to access different sounds.

The Weirding is an album by American progressive rock band Astra. It was their debut album, released in the United Kingdom on May 25, 2009, and on June 23 of that year in the United States. It was released on the independent label Rise Above Records. The album was released and received overall positive reviews, noting that the music was very similar to that of 1970s progressive rock bands like Pink Floyd and Yes, along with the space-rock outfit Hawkwind. Mojo said "The quintet's lengthy gestation period has resulted in a sublime debut that evokes various '70s colossi - panoramic Pink Floyd, mellotron-era King Crimson, Black Sabbath in philosophical mode - without ever stooping to pastiche".
Journey is the third and final studio album by British rock band Kingdom Come, known as Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come outside the UK. After the band featured drastically different styles on their first two albums, and after several line-up changes, band leader Arthur Brown worked the band towards a new direction for Journey. The album was the first album in history to use a drum machine responsible for all the percussive sounds on the album. The drum machine in question was the Bentley Rhythm Ace, manufactured by Ace Tone. Although the band had commented the album was entirely based on the drum machine, the band attempted to, in rock and electronic terms, create an album that was the closest they could get "to a string quartet". The album features other experimental techniques, including using a triangle to guide guitar playing and extensive use of Mellotron and synthesizers from new member Victor Peraino, who replaced Michael "Goodge" Harris early on production.

High Vibration is a Japanese 16 SACD boxed set by English-prog rock band Yes, containing the first 12 studio albums released by Atlantic Records, the 1973 live album Yessongs, and a bonus disc. All of the discs are remastered by Isao Kikuchi, the SACDs are packaged like Mini-LP, similar to the Beatles box set The Beatles in Mono. The box set also features a 200-page book in Japanese. The box set has never been officially released outside of Japan.
Yessingles is a compilation album by British progressive rock band Yes, released by record label Rhino on 6 October 2023. It compiles rare single versions of 12 of the band's biggest hits between 1970 and 1983 in chronological order, and is notable for being the first time the promo radio edit of "And You and I" was released digitally, being the lead single in promotion of the record.
