The Blue Trees is a performance and installation artwork by the artist Konstantin Dimopoulos that uses a colour transformation to provoke discussion about global deforestation. [1] The trunk and branches of live trees are coloured blue using a biologically safe natural pigment in water. [2] It was first created in pilot form in Melbourne in 2005 and launched in March 2011 at the Vancouver Biennale, Canada. [3] In 2015 ist was installed in Kuenzelsau at Ziehl-Abegg, in 2017 in Downtown Denver, [2] and in 2018 the Currier Museum of Art commissioned a Manchester, New Hampshire installation of The Blue Trees that became the 24th installation of the artwork. He investigates globally relevant questions related to ecology and the human condition through his socio-environmental interventions and conceptual proposals, which argue for the potential of art as a means of social engagement and change. He is known for large public kinetic sculpture, The Blue Tree - an art installation about deforestation and Purple Rain - a textual and visual response to homelessness.

<i>Trans Am Totem</i>

Trans Am Totem was a public art installation in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, created by sculptor Marcus Bowcott. Part of the Vancouver Biennale, the piece was unveiled in April 2015. Located at the intersection of Quebec Street and Milross Avenue, near False Creek, east of Vancouver's Downtown area, the sculpture incorporated stacked cars on top of a base made from a tree trunk. It stood 10 metres (33 ft) high and weighed 11,340 kilograms (25,000 lb). It was dismantled on August 15, 2021, to be restored and reinstalled in a new location by the summer of 2022.

Karina Smigla-Bobinski (1967) is a German-Polish intermedia artist, working primarily in new media art and digital art, based in Berlin and Munich.Her work bridges kinetic art, drawing, video, installation, painting, performance and sculpture. <i>Voxel Bridge</i> Public artwork

Voxel Bridge is an interactive public artwork under the Cambie Bridge in Vancouver, by artist Jessica Angel. The 8,000-square-foot (740 m2) mural is a vinyl overlay on the bridge that reveals interactive elements through augmented reality (AR), with aspects of the artwork being sold as non-fungible tokens. The installation will be part of the Vancouver Biennale from summer 2021 to 2023.
