The Conquest is a television series based on the conflict between the states of Wu and Yue during the Spring and Autumn period of Chinese history. The series was jointly produced by Hong Kong's TVB and mainland China's CCTV under executive producers Tommy Leung and Raymond Chai. It was renamed to Legend of the Heroic Duo for the mainland China release,where it aired two episodes every night on Zhejiang Satellite TV (ZJSTV) from 6 June to 28 June 2006,totalling 49 episodes. In Hong Kong,The Conquest aired five days a week on the TVB Jade network from 18 December 2006 to 10 February 2007,totalling 42 episodes.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a Chinese television series adapted from the classical 14th century novel of the same title by Luo Guanzhong. The series was produced by China Central Television (CCTV) and was first aired on the network in 1994. It spanned a total of 84 episodes,each approximately 45 minutes long. One of the most expensive television series produced at the time,the project cost 170 million yuan. It was completed over four years and involved over 400,000 cast and crew members,including divisions of the People's Liberation Army from the Beijing,Nanjing and Chengdu military regions. Some of the dialogue spoken by characters was adapted directly from the novel. Extensive battle scenes,such as the battles of Guandu,Red Cliffs and Xiaoting,were also live-acted.
Journey to the West is a Hong Kong television series adapted from the 16th-century novel of the same title. Starring Dicky Cheung,Kwong Wah,Wayne Lai and Evergreen Mak,the series was produced by TVB and was first broadcast on TVB Jade in Hong Kong in November 1996. A sequel,Journey to the West II,was broadcast in 1998,but the role of the Monkey King was played by Benny Chan instead,due to contract problems between Dicky Cheung and TVB. Cheung later reprised the role in another television series The Monkey King:Quest for the Sutra (2002),which was broadcast on TVB but not produced by the station.

Three Kingdoms is a 2010 Chinese television series based on the events in the late Eastern Han dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period. The plot is adapted from the 14th century historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms and other stories about the Three Kingdoms period. Directed by Gao Xixi,the series had a budget of over 160 million RMB and took five years of pre-production work. Shooting of the series commenced in October 2008,and it was released in China in May 2010.

The Confidant is a Hong Kong biographical fiction television drama produced by TVB under executive producer Marco Law,and stars Michelle Yim as Empress Dowager Cixi,and Wayne Lai as imperial eunuch Li Lianying. The drama depicts how a group of eunuchs survive in the weakening Qing empire,and closely traces Li's early life from the first day he entered the imperial palace to becoming one of the most powerful political figures in the latter years of the Qing Dynasty. The drama also follows Li's relationship with Cixi,and how he eventually becomes her closest confidant.
The Rebirth of a King,also known as Yue Wang Gou Jian,is a Chinese television series based on the life of King Goujian in the state of Yue in the Spring and Autumn period. Directed by Huang Jianzhong,Yuen Bun and Yanyi,the series starred Chen Baoguo,Bao Guo'an,You Yong,Li Guangjie and Zhou Yang. The series was first aired on TVB in November 2006 in Hong Kong and a year later on CCTV in mainland China.
The Han Triumph,also known as Wind Ode,is a Chinese television series based on historical events in the early Han dynasty,beginning with the founding of the dynasty by Liu Bang after his triumph over Xiang Yu,and the events leading to the reign of Liu Heng.
