The Darkside Vol. 2 is the second mixtape by rapper Fat Joe. The mixtape was released October 31, 2011. The mixtape's production was primarily handled by Mark Henry, Hype and RoJ & TwinkiE.
Originally after the release of The Darkside Vol. 1 , Fat Joe stated during an interview with Sway on MTV RapFix Live in August 2010 that he planned to release another two volumes of The Darkside, then retire. However, in December 2010 during an interview with GlobalGrind, Fat Joe stated that he was working on a new album which wasn't a Darkside album and was going to release The Darkside Vol. 2 as a mixtape. In June 2011, Drop a Body was released for the debuted as a music video on World Star Hip-Hop. [3]
On October 24, 2011, "Welcome To The Darkside" featuring French Montana was premiered by DJ Green Lantern on Hip-Hop Nation.
On October 30, 2011, a day before the release of the mixtape, "Dopeman" featuring Jadakiss and Dre was released.
A music video for "Welcome To The Darkside" was released on November 5, 2011. [4]
On January 18, 2012, the music video for "So Fly" was released. [5] It features exterior shots of Fat Joe's house in Miami.

Joseph Antonio Cartagena, better known by his stage name Fat Joe, is an American rapper. He began his music career as a member of hip hop group Diggin' in the Crates Crew (D.I.T.C.) in 1992, he then embarked on a solo career the following year with his debut studio album, Represent (1993). Cartegena formed the hip hop group Terror Squad and its namesake record label in the late 1990s, through which he signed fellow New York artists including Big Pun, Remy Ma, Tony Sunshine, and Cuban Link, as well as then-unknown producers DJ Khaled and Cool & Dre.

Christopher Francis Ries, known professionally as Young Chris, is an American rapper. He rose to fame as one-half of the Philadelphia-based hip hop duo Young Gunz, which he formed with rapper Neef Buck in 2001. The group disbanded in 2018.

The album also featured guest appearances came from Trey Songz, Too Short, R. Kelly, Cam'ron, Clipse, Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy.

Carlos Coleman, better known by his stage name King Los or simply Los, is an American rapper from Baltimore, Maryland. He is best known for his affiliation with Puff Daddy, having frequently served as his ghostwriter and been signed to his label, Bad Boy Records from 2005 until 2008. Coleman re-signed to the label in February 2012, although he departed once more in March 2014. His debut studio album, God, Money, War (2015) was released through RCA Records and entered the Billboard 200; Puff Daddy executive produced the album.

Scooter grew to prominence in 2012 after releasing a number of successful mixtapes and collaborating with notable rappers such as Gucci Mane, Future, Waka Flocka Flame and Chief Keef. His mixtape Street Lottery received positive reviews and was certified gold on popular mixtape site DatPiff. It was placed at number 24 on SPIN's 40 Best Hip-Hop Albums of 2013.
Lionel Du Fon Pickens, better known by his stage name Chinx, was an American rapper. He was a member of The Rockaway Riot Squad alongside fellow slain rapper Stack Bundles. Chinx later joined French Montana's Coke Boys Records, gaining recognition for his appearances on the Coke Boys mixtapes and the Cocaine Riot mixtape series. He was killed in a drive-by shooting in Jamaica, Queens on May 17, 2015. Two men have since been arrested in the case.

Luv Is Rage is the debut commercial mixtape by American rapper Lil Uzi Vert. It was released on October 30, 2015, by Generation Now and Atlantic Records. The mixtape includes features from Young Thug and Wiz Khalifa. A sequel was released on August 25, 2017.
