"Attention" is a song by American hip hop artists Fat Joe and Dre,in collaboration with American singer Chris Brown. It was released as a digital download on July 23,2018 as the third stand-alone single from the duo made of Fat Joe and Dre. [2] The song was produced by Scott Storch. [3]
Joe and Brown previously tag-teamed on their 2011 single "Another Round",that was certified gold by RIAA. According to Fat Joe,collaborate with Brown for "Another Round" in the studio was simply a no-brainer. Joe told Billboard that it is "always an honor" to walk with Brown,whom he called "a beautiful talent. Me and Dre said we need Chris on here [and] it would be fire". [4]
"Attention" was supposed to be the lead single of Joe and Dre's collaborative project,however it ended up not being on it. [4]
On August 6,2018,Fat Joe announced that they shot the video that day,and later on September 4,2018,he released the music video for "Attention",directed by Eif Rivera,on his YouTube and Vevo account. The video was shot in Los Angeles. [5] Ashanti made a cameo appearance.

Cool &Dre are a record production and songwriting duo from North Miami,Florida,consisting of Marcello "Cool" Antonio Valenzano and Andre "Dre" Christopher Lyon. The duo were first discovered by New York rapper Fat Joe and began their careers working in tandem to produce his albums Jealous Ones Still Envy (2001) and Loyalty (2002). Two years later,they produced the hit song "New York" by Ja Rule,and "Hate It or Love It" by the Game the following year,which peaked at numbers 27 and two on the Billboard Hot 100,respectively. Cool &Dre were later credited on the Billboard 200 number-one albums Tha Carter III (2008),Tha Carter IV (2011),and Tha Carter V (2018) by Lil Wayne,as well as the collaborative album,Everything Is Love (2018) by Jay-Z and Beyoncé,which won a Grammy Award.
Joseph Antonio Cartagena,better known by his stage name Fat Joe,is an American rapper. He began recording as a member of hip hop group Diggin' in the Crates Crew (D.I.T.C.) in 1992 until pursuing a solo career with the release of his debut studio album,Represent (1993) the following year. Cartegena formed the hip hop group Terror Squad and its namesake record label in the late 1990s,through which he has signed fellow New York artists including Big Pun,Remy Ma,Tony Sunshine,and Cuban Link,as well as then-unknown producers DJ Khaled and Cool &Dre.
The Album is the only studio album by American hip hop supergroup The Firm. It was released on October 21,1997,by Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records. The project was created by rapper Nas,his manager Steve Stoute and producers Dr. Dre and Trackmasters,who came up with the idea of forming a hip hop supergroup. The original line-up included Nas,AZ,Foxy Brown and Cormega who were all featured on the song "Affirmative Action" from Nas' album It Was Written (1996). However,Cormega later left the group due to artistic differences between him and Nas,as well as contract disagreements with Stoute. He was replaced by Nature prior to recording of the album. The Album is a concept album that revolves around the themes of mafia and "gangsta" lifestyle. The songs on the album were mainly produced by Dr. Dre,Chris "The Glove" Taylor and Trackmasters,and feature guest vocals from Pretty Boy,Wizard,Canibus,Dawn Robinson,Noreaga and Half-a-Mill.

It was the only single released from the soundtrack of the 1995 movie Friday,starring Dre's former N.W.A bandmate,Ice Cube and Chris Tucker.
