The Dash are a post-punk band based in the Whitechapel area of London. The band have released several singles and two EPs as well as playing hundrededs of gigs including a recent month-long tour of Europe supporting Kitty, Daisy & Lewis. [1]
The band comprises Marc Hayward (lead vocals/guitar), Dan Williams (guitar/backing vocals), Aiden Pryor (bass) and Gareth Tyler (drums). [2] The band cite 1970s punk rock and post punk as influences, including Iggy Pop, Television, and The Clash.
Their debut single "Broomhouse Road" was released through Weekender Records at the end of 2008 and garnered healthy reviews from the music press. Ben Marwood of Drowned in Sound described it as "three yobs yelling about London for seven minutes", giving it a 7 out of 10 rating. [3]
The Notes From The Bunker EP was released on 11 October 2010 on Dashtones as a digital release and reached as far as number 8 in the Amazon download chart.
They recorded three tracks with Mick Whitnall of Babyshambles which were slated for release in 2011, but remained unreleased. [2] A single, "Let's Surf", a cover version of the Nightingales song featuring Terry Edwards, was released in 2011. [2]
The Dash released '3 Time More' through Tin Pan Recordings in 2013 which led to the band supporting Babyshambles and also filming a television commercial for the fragrance Impulse in Berlin, Germany, which produced a digital-only cover of The Ramones' "Baby I Love You".
Produced by Brian O'Shaughnessy (Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine), the band's next single 'Love Will Always Be The End' was released in October 2014 and was championed by BBC 6 Music DJs Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson.
The Dash announced on New Years Day 2015 that they would be supporting Kitty, Daisy & Lewis on their Feb/March UK & European tour. The tour visited 11 countries and played to over 35,000 people in just a month.
Through Gritted Teeth , an EP of brand new songs written by Hayward and Williams, was set for release on 30 October 2015.[ needs update ]
The Libertines are an English rock band, formed in London in 1997 by frontmen Carl Barât (vocals/guitar) and Pete Doherty (vocals/guitar). The band, centred on the songwriting partnership of Barât and Doherty, has also included John Hassall (bass), and Gary Powell (drums) for most of its recording career. The band was part of the garage rock revival and spearheaded the movement in the UK.
Babyshambles were an English rock band established in London. The band was formed by Pete Doherty during a hiatus from the Libertines. As of 2013 the band includes Mick Whitnall, Drew McConnell and Adam Ficek. Babyshambles have released three albums—Down in Albion (2005), Shotter's Nation (2007) and Sequel to the Prequel (2013)—three EPs and a number of singles.
Michael Geoffrey Jones is a British musician, singer and songwriter best known as the lead guitarist, co-lead vocalist, co-founder and songwriter for the Clash until 1983. In 1984, he formed Big Audio Dynamite with Don Letts. Jones has played with the group Carbon/Silicon along with Tony James since 2002 and was part of the Gorillaz live band for a world tour in 2010–2011. In late 2011, Jones collaborated with Pete Wylie and members of the Farm to form the Justice Tonight Band.
Patrick George Walden is best known as the former guitarist for Babyshambles. Prior to joining Babyshambles, Walden belonged to a variety of London groups, among which were Fluid, the Six Cold Thousand, and The White Sport. He played guitar for The White Sport alongside another future Babyshambles member, drummer Adam Ficek. Walden also worked as a live guitarist and as a session musician, playing bass and guitar for numerous recording artists. Among those acts were Whitey, James Blunt, 500 and Crave, Ed Laliq, and, very briefly, The Honeymoon.
Ask for It is an EP by American alternative rock band Hole, released on September 8, 1995. It was the band's second and last release on Caroline Records, the first being their debut album Pretty on the Inside (1991). Although the EP was released after 1994's platinum-selling Live Through This, its contents were recorded by an earlier lineup of the band between 1991 and 1992. The EP comprises three songs by Hole as well as several cover versions of songs by the Wipers, Beat Happening, The Velvet Underground, and the Germs.

Trembling Bells was a Scottish folk rock group formed in 2008 by drummer Alex Neilson, a musician with a history of free and improvised playing with several artists. Based in Glasgow, the group released three albums through Honest Jon's Records. A fourth, The Sovereign Self, was released on 29 June 2015, followed by an EP in 2016, both on Tin Angel Records. Their last album, Dungeness, was released in March 2018. In September 2018, frontwoman Lavinia Blackwall announced she was leaving the band after 10 years. Following a further run of gigs, the band announced they were to split, with members focussing on their individual projects.
The Novocaines were a rock band based in Perth, Western Australia Briefly named The Howlin' Novocaines in 2007. They released their first two studio EPs, Ragdoll (2009) and Courtesy Eventually (2010), which were played by Australian radio station Triple J. They released their debut LP, Idle Time, in 2011.

The group reissued their well-received debut album Old Pride in 2010 through Topshelf Records.

Elviss were a West London-based British alternative rock band, who were active during the mid-2000s releasing only one album titled Dead Cat and Sharksick in 2004. The album was due to be released in 2003 after the release of their third single "Radio ", but it was put back until the band had a hit single. It ultimately was never released in their homeland but was released in Japan on 21 April 2004 with a retail price of 2,100 Yen. The UK release was due to be 11 tracks only, but the Japanese version had 12 with "Orange Glow" as this track. The band's name was a reference to the Enhanced Low light level and Visible Surveillance System (ELVISS). During their brief career, they opened for Feeder at a Kerrang!-sponsored gig and also opened for Stone Sour. They were also championed by the magazine itself, which included an appearance at the Kerrang! Weekender in 2002 at Camber Sands, East Sussex. The intro of their Deadcat and Sharksick track "Tantrum", was used as an indents soundbed on Kerrang!'s music channel in 2003.
Make Do and Mend was an American post-hardcore band from West Hartford, Connecticut, that formed in 2006, who relocated to Boston, Massachusetts. They released 2 EPs on Panic Records, a split with Touché Amoré and three full-length albums. While technically members of "The Wave", along with La Dispute, Touché Amoré, Pianos Become the Teeth, and Defeater, the band has since clarified that "The Wave" was merely an inside joke between those bands and does not represent a particular movement or subgenre in post-hardcore.

Drowners are an American-Welsh indie rock band formed in New York City in 2011 by Matthew Hitt, Jack Ridley III, Erik Lee Snyder (bass) and Daniel Jacobs (drums). Their first release was the EP Between Us Girls which appeared in early 2013. In January 2014 their debut album Drowners was released worldwide preceded by the single "Luv, Hold Me Down". In 2016, the band released their second album On Desire. The band has toured both North America and Europe.
Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes are an English punk rock band formed in 2015 by frontman Frank Carter with guitarist Dean Richardson. Famed for their raucous live shows, the band released their debut album Blossom in 2015, and the follow-ups Modern Ruin in 2017 and End of Suffering in 2019. Their fourth album, Sticky, was released in October 2021.
