The Deadlight Sessions is an EP from American rock band Heaven Below. The album was released on August 13, 2013 through Broken Halo Media.
The album takes a more acoustic approach than previous albums. This was done due to the success of the acoustic version of their song "When Daylight Dies". The fourth track from the album "The Needle Lies Again" was written about Paul Gray from Slipknot, who died in 2010 of a drug overdose. [1] The song talks about the overwhelming feeling of hurt and anxiety that exists when having to deal with the death of a close companion. [2]
In September 2013, the band went to Hooligan's Bar & Grill in New Braunfels, Texas near San Antonio for a one stop show to promote the album. [3]
Sweet Lou of The Heavy Metal ICU states that "Tomorrow Never Comes" is "close to sounding very Motley Crue "If I Die Tomorrow"". [4]

"The Needle and the Damage Done" is a 1972 song by Canadian-American singer-songwriter Neil Young. The lyrics describe the effects of heroin addiction on musicians Young knew, including his friend and Crazy Horse bandmate Danny Whitten, who would die of an overdose the same year the song was released. The song would preview the theme of Young's 1975 album Tonight's the Night, which would reflect on the fatal heroin overdoses of Whitten and Bruce Berry, a roadie for Young and Crazy Horse.

The album—his debut with Warp—was released in Japan on 19 October 2010, in the United States on 2 November, and the United Kingdom on 15 November. The album was recorded with collaborators Jon Hopkins and Leo Abrahams in 2009 and 2010 and was released in several formats, including Compact Disc; digital download; a box set featuring the album on Compact Disc, vinyl, and download, a bonus CD with four extra tracks, and a lithograph by Eno; and another box set with all of the previous media and a 12" square silkscreen print by Eno and a copper plate.
"Little Black Submarines" is a song by American rock band The Black Keys. It is the fourth track from their 2011 studio album, El Camino, and was released as the album's fourth single on October 8, 2012. The song begins as a quiet acoustic ballad before transitioning to a loud, hard rock arrangement in the second half. Critics praised the song and called it one of the highlights from El Camino. The song was a success on rock radio, reaching number two on the Alternative Songs chart in the US and the Alternative Rock and Active Rock charts in Canada. The group filmed a music video with director Danny Clinch at the Springwater Supper Club and Lounge, a dive bar in Nashville, Tennessee. "Little Black Submarines" was certified gold in America.
