Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman is a 1992 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film directed by Aziz Mirza starring Shah Rukh Khan, Amrita Singh, Juhi Chawla and Nana Patekar. Khan plays Raju, a young Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering from Darjeeling who comes to Bombay hoping to become a successful engineer. The film emerged as a commercial success. The movie plot is loosely inspired by the 1987 movie The Secret of My Success, the Raj Kapoor classic Shree 420 (1955) and Anari (1959). The rights to this film are owned by Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment.

Swarg is the fourth last certified hit of Rajesh Khanna, as this was followed by Begunaah, Ghar Parivaar and Rupaye Dus Karod in the year 1991. The movie is loosely based on the 1967 movie Mehrban starring Ashok Kumar, which itself was a remake of the 1960 Tamil movie Padikkadha Medhai which in turn was a remake of 1953 Bengali film Jog Biyog. based on the novel of same name by Ashapoorna Devi. Swarg was remade in Telugu as Indra Bhavanam, in Odia as Bhai Hela Bhagari, in Bengali as Annadata and in Nepali as Izzatadar, twice in Bangladesh as Sneher Protidhan and Ke Apon Ke Por (2011). However, the film was commercial successful.
