The Hotrats (originally the Diamond Hoo Ha Men) were a cover band formed by Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey as a side-project from their main band Supergrass. The band were named after Frank Zappa's album Hot Rats . The duo recorded a set of covers with producer Nigel Godrich for an album entitled Turn Ons in the vein of David Bowie's Pin Ups which was released in early 2010. They performed a short UK tour which included the Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Since Supergrass announced they were to split, The Hotrats have joined with Air to perform The Virgin Suicides live for the first time, over several concert dates. So far this has included an appearance at the Théâtre de la Passerelle in Saint-Brieuc, as part of Festival Art Rock 2010. [1] [2]

The Virgin Suicides is a score composed by French electronic music duo Air for the 1999 film of the same name by Sofia Coppola. It was released on 23 February 2000 by Virgin Records. The album was nominated for Best Soundtrack at the 2001 Brit Awards. The French edition of Rolling Stone magazine placed The Virgin Suicides at number 49 on their list of the 100 essential French rock albums. In 2014, NME placed the album at number 11 on their "61 of the Greatest Film Soundtracks Ever" list. In 2019, Pitchfork placed the album at number 4 on their "Top 50 Best Movie Scores of All Time" list.

They also recorded a cover of "Under My Thumb" for the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World movie, but currently remains unreleased. [3]

Under My Thumb Song by The Rolling Stones

"Under My Thumb" is a song written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. The Rolling Stones recorded it for their 1966 album Aftermath. Although it was never released as a single in English-speaking countries, it is one of the band's more popular songs from the period and appears on several best-of compilations, such as Hot Rocks 1964-1971. In 1968, it was released as a single in Japan. It was also released in Italy.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is a 2010 action comedy film co-written, produced and directed by Edgar Wright, based on the graphic novel series Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O'Malley. It stars Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, a slacker musician who must battle the seven evil exes of his newest girlfriend Ramona Flowers, played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Metric is a Canadian rock band founded in 1998 in Toronto, Ontario. The band consists of Emily Haines, James Shaw, Joshua Winstead and Joules Scott-Key. Although the band is Canadian, Haines was born in India to American parents, and Winstead and Scott-Key are American. Atoms for Peace (band) English-American experimental rock band

Atoms for Peace are an English-American supergroup comprising Radiohead singer Thom Yorke, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, drummer Joey Waronker of Beck and R.E.M., and percussionist Mauro Refosco of Forro in the Dark. Yorke formed the band in 2009 to perform songs from his debut solo album, The Eraser (2006). They toured in 2010 and 2013, and released an album, Amok, in February 2013.
