The Last Frontier is an upcoming American thriller drama television series created by Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D'Ovidio.
A U.S. Marshal in the outskirts of Alaska must protect his town while he investigates the plane crash that set free multiple fugitives, now on the loose.
It was announced in February 2023 that Apple TV+ had given a straight to series order for the project, with Jason Clarke set to star. [1] In February 2024, Dominic Cooper, Haley Bennett, Simone Kessell, Tait Blum, Dallas Goldtooth and Alfre Woodard were added to the cast. [2] [3] [4] [5] [1] [6]
Filming began on February 5, 2024 in Montreal, and is expected to run until October. [7]

Known for portraying strong-willed and dignified roles on stage and screen, she has received various accolades, including four Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards as well as nominations for an Academy Award, BAFTA Award, and two Grammy Awards. In 2020, The New York Times ranked her as one of "The 25 Greatest Actors of the 21st Century". She is a board member of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Simone Kessell is a New Zealand television actress known for her role as Lt. Alicia Washington in the short-lived Fox science fiction television series Terra Nova. In 2016, Kessell starred opposite Ray Winstone on the short-lived ABC prime-time television fantasy soap opera Of Kings and Prophets. As of 2023 she co-stars on the Showtime series Yellowjackets.
