10cc are an English rock band founded in Stockport, England, who achieved their greatest commercial success in the 1970s. The band initially consisted of four musicians – Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley, and Lol Creme – who had written and recorded together for some three years, before assuming the name "10cc" in 1972. 10cc featured two songwriting teams, one "commercial" and one "artistic". Stewart and Gouldman were predominantly pop songwriters, who created most of the band's accessible songs. By way of contrast, Godley and Creme were the predominantly experimental half of 10cc, featuring an "art school" sensibility and cinematically-inspired writing.
Eric Michael Stewart is an English singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer, best known as a founding member of the rock groups The Mindbenders with whom he played from 1963 to 1968, and likewise of 10cc from 1972 to 1995. Stewart co-owned Strawberry Studios in Stockport, England from 1968 to the early 1980s, where he recorded albums with 10cc and artists like Neil Sedaka and Paul McCartney. Stewart collaborated with McCartney extensively in the 1980s, playing on or co-writing songs for McCartney's solo albums Tug of War (1982), Pipes of Peace (1983), Give My Regards to Broad Street (1984), and Press to Play (1986). Since 1980, Stewart has released four solo studio albums.
Graham Keith Gouldman is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He has been the only constant member of the art rock band 10cc.

The Hollies' Greatest Hits was the first greatest hits collection by British pop group The Hollies. The album was released by Imperial Records in the U.S. in May 1967 and by Capitol Records in Canada, under the title The Hits of the Hollies and with two different tracks, in July 1967. This was released a year before Parlophone issued its own hits album in England and six years before Epic issued another album in North America with this title. When Imperial was dissolved into United Artists Records in 1971, this album went out of print, prompting Epic to issue its own "Greatest Hits" album two years later.

The song was released as the third single from the album in August 1973 and peaked at No. 10 on the UK Singles Chart. The single reached the top of the Irish Singles Chart on 20 September 1973.
"No Milk Today" is a song that was written by Graham Gouldman and originally recorded by British pop band Herman's Hermits. It was first released as a single by the Mancunian group in the UK in October 1966 and, with the B-side "My Reservation's Been Confirmed", enjoyed chart success, peaking at No. 7 in the UK Singles Chart. Although not released as a single in the US, it was popular enough to become a moderate hit when it was released there as the B-side to "There's a Kind of Hush", reaching No. 35 in 1967. It was also a major hit in many European countries.
Live and Let Live was 10cc's first live album, released in the Autumn of 1977. It was recorded at the Odeon Theatre in London between 18 and 20 June 1977 and the Apollo Theatre, Manchester between 16 and 17 July 1977.
The Greatest Songs and More is a 4-CD box set by 10cc released in Japan in June 1991. The compilation includes singles, album tracks, and rare b-sides recorded between 1972 and 1983. Many of the tracks included were unavailable on CD elsewhere until re-issues of their later albums were released—also in Japan—in 2006. It is not known how many copies were produced, but over the years it has commanded high prices on the collectors market.

Hollies' Greatest is the only number one album in the UK by British band the Hollies. It was released after Graham Nash's departure from the Hollies and was intended to include all of their British hit singles with Nash. Only 3 of the 14 songs on the album – "Stay", "I Can't Let Go" and "Stop! Stop! Stop!" had previously been released on U.K. albums.
