The Mitchell Brothers were a Ghanaian British rap duo from London, England. They consisted of cousins Owura "Tony" Nyanin from Manor Park and Kofi "Teddy" Hanson from Stockwell. They were the first signing to Mike Skinner's The Beats imprint and are sometimes known as the "geezers with skills".[ citation needed ]

Tony Nyanin and Teddy Hanson named themselves The Mitchell Brothers after siblings Phil and Grant Mitchell in the British soap EastEnders . [1]

As teenagers, they pressed up 1,000 remix CDs called Sorted.[ citation needed ]

Teddy Hanson spotted Mike Skinner from the Streets in their local Barclay's bank in Brixton, South London, soon after Skinner had released his debut album, Original Pirate Material . Hanson slipped a copy of his and Nyanin's demo CD into Skinner's bag, with his phone number on it. Skinner signed them to The Beats label and produced their first album.[ citation needed ] Hanson performed with Skinner on the latter's hit single, "Fit But You Know It".[ citation needed ]

The Mitchell Brothers released their debut single "Routine Check" which peaked at No. 42 on the UK Singles Chart in March 2005. Their debut album, A Breath of Fresh Attire, was released in August 2005 and reached No. 56 on the UK Albums Chart. Their second album, Dressed for the Occasion , was released in November 2007. It was preceded by the singles "Solemate" and "Michael Jackson", the latter of which was produced Scottish producer Calvin Harris. Despite disappointing sales of this album, it was described as "still born and fresh" by Skinner.[ citation needed ]

Most recently, Tony Nyanin signed to Paramount Music and is now pursuing a solo career as Mr Mitchell. Mr Mitchell's first solo single titled "On the Rooftop" was released in 2012.

John David Jackson, better known by his stage name Fabolous, is an American rapper and singer. He first gained recognition while still a senior in high school, when he performed live on American music executive DJ Clue's radio show, then on Hot 97. Jackson subsequently signed to DJ Clue's Desert Storm imprint, and later secured a distribution deal with Elektra Records. Jackson gained prominence with his first release, Ghetto Fabolous (2001), which spawned the hit singles "Can't Deny It" and "Young'n ". His second release was 2003's Street Dreams, which was supported by two US top 10 singles, "Can't Let You Go" and "Into You".

New jack swing, new jack, or swingbeat is a fusion genre of the rhythms and production techniques of hip hop and dance-pop, and the urban contemporary sound of R&B. Spearheaded by producers Teddy Riley and Bernard Belle, new jack swing was most popular from the mid-1980s to mid-1990s. Its influence, along with hip hop, seeped into pop culture.

The Streets British alternative hip hop music group

The Streets are an English rap music project led by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Mike Skinner.

Guy is an American hip hop, R&B and soul group founded in 1987 by Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall, and Timmy Gatling. Hall's younger brother Damion Hall replaced Gatling after the recording of the group's self-titled debut album. The group released their debut album, which went on to sell over a million copies and was certified double platinum. In following their success, the group dropped their second album The Future in 1990, which also charted with successful singles and received platinum as well. Following their nearly decade long split, the group returned with their third album before the 2000s millennium, which charted with their hit single "Dancin'".

Jeffrey Allen Townes, known professionally as DJ Jazzy Jeff, is an American disc jockey (DJ), record producer, songwriter, and actor. He was a member of DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince with Will Smith. He is credited, along with DJs Spinbad and Cash Money, with making the transformer scratch famous.

Terror Squad was an American hip hop collective that was first established in 1998. Based in the Bronx borough of New York City, the members of Terror Squad collectively debuted on a song in member Fat Joe's albums Jealous One's Envy and Don Cartagena. Terror Squad released its debut album, Terror Squad: The Album, in 1999, with its first major hit "Whatcha Gon' Do", credited mostly to Big Pun, who died of a heart attack in 2000. After Big Pun's death, his longtime partners Cuban Link and Triple Seis left the group and were subsequently replaced by Remy Martin and Tony Sunshine. Ying Yang Twins American hip hop duo

The Ying Yang Twins are an American hip hop duo consisting of Kaine and D-Roc. They are not actually twin brothers. The group debuted in 2000 and rose to mainstream popularity in 2003 collaborating with Britney Spears on her album In the Zone and with Lil Jon on "Get Low". In 2004 and 2005, Ying Yang Twins became more popular with party singles "Salt Shaker", "Wait ", "Shake" and "Badd". They have received notoriety for their song "Halftime " which is played at New Orleans Saints homegames after most touchdowns. In 2008, the hip hop duo released The Official Work mixtape. "Blood on the Dance Floor" is a song by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson, released as the first single from the remix album Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix (1997). Jackson and Teddy Riley created the track in time for the 1991 release of Dangerous. However, it did not appear on that record and was worked on further for its commercial release in 1997. One interpretation of the song describes a predatory woman named Susie who seduces Jackson before plotting to stab him with a knife. Anthony Philip Harford, better known by his stage name Tony Martin, is an English heavy metal vocalist, best known for his time fronting Black Sabbath, initially from 1987 to 1991 and again from 1993 to 1997. Martin was the band's second-longest-serving vocalist after Ozzy Osbourne. He has since been involved in many other projects.

Hollywood Tonight 2011 single by Michael Jackson

"Hollywood Tonight" is a song by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson, included on his posthumous album, Michael. The song was released by Epic Records on February 11, 2011, as the second single from Michael. The spoken parts were performed by Jackson's nephew, Taryll Jackson and written by Teddy Riley. An accompanying music video was released on March 10, 2011. It features Algerian dancer Sofia Boutella dressed in a Jackson-inspired outfit performing a routine with 60 dancers.
