"The More You Live, the More You Love" is a song by A Flock of Seagulls, released as the first single from their third album, The Story of a Young Heart . It is the band's last international hit to date.

Contents

The song entered the top 40 in the UK and in several other countries, such as Germany and New Zealand. In the United States, it peaked at numbers 56 and 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Mainstream Rock charts respectively. "The More You Live, the More You Love" had similar success in Belgium (Flanders), where it also peaked at No. 10. [1]

The Story of a Young Heart is the third studio album by A Flock of Seagulls, released in August 1984 by Jive Records. It was their last album—until 2018's Ascension—to feature the original line-up of the band, as guitarist Paul Reynolds left shortly after the album's release. Three singles were released from the album, some only in select countries: "The More You Live, the More You Love", "Never Again " and "Remember David". The album was reissued in 2008 by Cherry Red Records with bonus tracks.

Samuel Denison Martin is an American Grammy Award-winning musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. His song "Want to Want Me" holds the record for the most adds in the American contemporary hit radio history. Following signing to Artist Publishing Group, Martin's first song he wrote for another artist became the song "Daylight" by Maroon 5, which peaked at number one on the Billboard charts. His writing on the album Fly Rasta, released by Ziggy Marley, led it to becoming a number-one reggae album as well as a receiving a Grammy Award. Tyshon Dwayne Nobles, better known by his stage name T-Wayne, is an American rapper from Houston, Texas. His rap name is a combination of his first name and his middle name. He has also occasionally taken the pseudonym Rickey Wayne, amid concerns that his name resembles those of famous rappers, T-Pain and Lil Wayne. He is best known for his 2015 single "Nasty Freestyle" which peaked at number nine on the US Billboard Hot 100. Born in Abilene, he moved to Dallas at age 15, then to Houston at 19, where he lives.
