Weezer is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1992. Since 2001, the band has consisted of Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell, and Scott Shriner.
The Bee Gees were a music group formed in 1958, featuring brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The trio were especially successful as a popular music act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and later as prominent performers of the disco music era in the mid-to-late 1970s. Light Years is the seventh studio album by Australian singer Kylie Minogue. It was released on 25 September 2000 by Parlophone. The album's style was indicative of her return to "mainstream pop and dance tunes". It received favourable reviews from music critics, with some appreciating her fresh new pop roots and electronic music. Two weeks after debuting at number two on the Australian Albums Chart, the album reached the top position, making it Minogue's first number-one album in her native Australia. It was later certified four times platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). Minogue promoted the album with television performances and interviews. It was further promoted with the On a Night Like This Tour, which visited Europe and Australia.
Gigolo Aunts are an American power pop band, who formed in 1981.
Spice is the debut studio album by English girl group the Spice Girls. It was released on 19 September 1996 by Virgin Records. The album was recorded between 1995 and 1996 at Olympic Studios in Barnes, London, and Strongroom Studios in Shoreditch, London, by producers Matt Rowe and Richard Stannard, and the production duo Absolute. Spice is a pop album that incorporates styles such as dance, R&B and hip hop. It is considered to be the record that brought teen pop back, opening the doors for a wave of teen pop artists. Conceptually, the album centered on the idea of Girl Power, and the hype surrounding the group was compared to Beatlemania.
Younger Than Yesterday is the fourth album by the American rock band the Byrds and was released on February 6, 1967 on Columbia Records. It saw the band continuing to integrate elements of psychedelia and jazz into their music, a process they had begun on their previous album, Fifth Dimension. In addition, the album captured the band and record producer Gary Usher experimenting with new musical textures, including brass instruments, reverse tape effects and an electronic oscillator.
"Lucky" is a song recorded by American singer Britney Spears. It was released on August 8, 2000, by Jive Records as the second single from her second studio album Oops!... I Did It Again. After meeting with producers Max Martin and Rami Yacoub in Sweden, the singer recorded several songs for the album, including "Lucky". The song tells a story about a very famous Hollywood star named Lucky, who, despite seemingly having it all – fame, wealth, beauty – is truly lonely and unhappy on the inside. It was praised by music critics, who considered its melody and rhythm as sweet and catchy, and noted the lyrics to be about Spears herself.
"What a Girl Wants" is a song by American singer Christina Aguilera, taken from her eponymous debut album in 1999. The song was originally written and recorded by French singer Ophélie Winter in 1998 for her album Privacy, released a year before Aguilera's. Though a songwriter along with Peiken and Roche, Winter was never credited as such for this single. A re-recorded version was released on November 28, 1999 by RCA Records as the album's second single, following the commercial success of the album's lead single "Genie in a Bottle". The song was written by Shelly Peiken and Guy Roche. The song was completed and pitched to RCA executive Ron Fair as "What a Girl Needs" and was renamed "What a Girl Wants"; Fair later gave the track to Aguilera. A Spanish version of the song, titled "Una Mujer," was included on Aguilera's second studio album Mi Reflejo (2000).

Bittersweet World is the third studio album by American recording artist Ashlee Simpson. It was first released in Australia on April 19, 2008, with a release in the United States following on April 22. The project serves as her third and final release through Geffen Records. Simpson first spoke of a third album following her run as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago in 2006. Work on the project officially began in 2007, with Geffen announcing an October release date. The album was initially titled Color Outside the Lines, taken from a line in the song "Rule Breaker". Simpson claimed in November 2007 that she had finished the album, though she continued to write new material.
Dave Gibbs is an American singer-songwriter, best known for his work in the Boston-based power-pop band, Gigolo Aunts. Born and raised in Potsdam, New York, Gibbs co-founded the Gigolo Aunts with brothers Steve and Phil Hurley, and drummer Paul Brower in 1986. Relocating to Boston, the group gained a following after a string of self-released tapes and singles, finally catching the attention of English label, Fire Records, which released their 1993 album, Flippin' Out. The band was signed in the US to RCA Records, who re-released the album in 1994. Gibbs also contributed backing vocals to albums by Providence, Rhode Island pop-rockers Velvet Crush, with whom he toured as lead guitarist on and off through the early 1990s.

Flippin' Out is an album by Gigolo Aunts released in October 1993 on Fire Records in the UK and April 1994 on RCA/BMG in the US. It includes the track "Where I Find My Heaven", featured on the soundtrack to 1994 comedy film, Dumb and Dumber, which helped to break the band into the charts. The song "Lemon Peeler" was featured in the 1995 movie Born to be wild. The US and UK versions feature different track listings. The title track, "Flippin' Out", was originally recorded by the Wizards, a NY/NJ supergroup circa 1988/1989, part of a six song EP that was never released. In a story attributed to Phil Marino, known for his work photographing the band, the Gigolo Aunts became acquainted with the song through Rob Norris, the producer of their debut album, Everybody Happy. Norris, a former member of the Bongos and at the time a current member of the Wizards, reportedly sent a tape of the six song EP to the Gigolo Aunts, who recorded "Flippin' Out" as the title track for the album. The album cover features Chloë Sevigny.

The album collects a number of singles and b-sides from 1993 through 1995. The album includes a cover of "Winsor Dam", a 1991 recording by Big Dipper that did not receive its formal release until the 2008 compilation album Supercluster: The Big Dipper Anthology.
"Mrs. Washington" is a song written and performed by Gigolo Aunts and the title song from their 1993 and 1994 singles. The song also appears on the album, Flippin' Out. The August 1993 7" single includes a cover of "Serious Drugs", a 1992 single by BMX Bandits later included on their 1993 album, "Life Goes On". That 1993 single was the first in a series of five releases by various bands on Fire Records under the Spawning Monsters moniker. The April 1994 7" single and CD single include a cover of "Ask", a 1986 single by the Smiths that later appeared on their 1987 albums, "Louder Than Bombs" (US) and "The World Won't Listen" (UK). The 12" single includes a cover of "Can You Get to That" by Funkadelic, a song from their 1971 album, "Maggot Brain". Both the 12" single and the CD single include a cover of "Winsor Dam", a 1991 recording by Big Dipper that did not receive its formal release until the 2008 compilation album, Supercluster: The Big Dipper Anthology. Note that while both the 12" single and CD single attribute the writing credits for "Winsor Dam" to Goffrier/Oliphant/Michener/Wallik, other sources identify the writer of the song as Big Dipper guitarist, Gary Waleik. The 1994 single entered the UK singles charts on April 23, 1994, spending only one week there. The cover art of the 1994 7" single, 12" single, and CD single features Chloë Sevigny. The photo appears to be from the same session as the photo on the cover of the Full-On Bloom EP.
Minor Chords and Major Themes is a 1999 album by Gigolo Aunts. It includes the songs, "Everyone Can Fly", subsequently featured on the Everyone Can Fly EP, "Everything Is Wrong", co-written by Jane Wiedlin, and "The Big Lie", co-written by Dave Bassett. Minor Chords and Major Themes features the return of producer, Mike Denneen, who also produced the 1993 album, Flippin' Out. The track, "You'd Better Get Yourself Together, Baby" also appears on the Wicked Good Sampler 05 compilation, a 1998 promotional release associated with Newbury Comics released by Universal Music. The Japanese release of Minor Chords and Major Themes adds the track, "Kinda Girl", which also appears on the Learn to Play Guitar EP.
Pacific Ocean Blues is the final album by Gigolo Aunts. It was released in 2002 on Bittersweet Recordings in Spain and Japan, and subsequently released in 2003 in the U.S. on Q Division Records. The track, "Lay Your Weary Body Down (Reprise)" from the US version of the album is not listed on the album cover. Both the Spanish and US versions of the CD are housed in digipaks.
"International Love" is a song by American rapper Pitbull from his sixth studio album, Planet Pit (2011). The song features vocals from American R&B singer Chris Brown. It was written by Pitbull, Soulshock, Peter Biker, Sean Hurley and Claude Kelly, and it was produced by Soulshock, Biker and Hurley. The song was first released on May 27, 2011 as the first promotional single from the album. However, on October 11, 2011, the single started airing on rhythmic radio in the United States, and was finally released as the fourth and final official single on November 1, 2011, when it impacted US mainstream radio. It peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.
