The Only Son is Ugandan film written and directed by Richard Mulindwa starring Bobby Tamale, Michael Wawuyo Snr., Raymond Rushabiro, and Nisha Kalema. The film was released on 22 July 2016 at the Kampala Serena Hotel. [1] [2] The film was nominated in six categories at the 2016 Uganda Film Festiva l including Best Screenplay, Best Sound, Best Editing, Film of the Year, Best lead Actor and Best Feature Film. [3]
Davis (Bobby Tamale) faces the biggest challenges of his life when his father (Michael Wawuyo) is diagnosed with cancer. While his father (Michael Wawuyo) is worried about the future of his legacy, all his goods and businesses allegedly get to be frozen due to embezzlement issues. The lavish and careless Davis has to man up and start over again, but will he manage his new life on the street even after losing his friends, girlfriend and can't live in the village as ordered by his father.
Failing to get along with the village conditions, Davis now moves back to town; a journey that introduces him to the biggest challenges of his life and people that help him change it completely.

Raymond Rushabiro is a Ugandan film actor, and stage actor. He broke through in his acting career with Uganda's most famous stage group, the Ebonies, appearing in a number of their plays. Rushabiro is also seen in Kweezi Kaganda's Any cow will do alongside former Namasagali old students that was shown at the National Theater of Uganda. His first cinema appearance was as Kasirivu in the movie Bala Bala Sese (2015) directed by Lukyamuzi Bashir. He has also appeared in supporting roles in the 2016 Ugandan film The Only Son , Situka (2015) and as a patriarch of the Muwonge family in 5 @Home on Fox Life (2015-2018). He worked on other films and television series including Freedom (2016), Girl from Mparo (2016) and Kyaddala (2019).

Robert Tamale known popularly as Bobby Tamale is a Ugandan film actor and producer. He broke through his acting career through "It Can't Be", a TV drama Airing on WBS TV. He has also starred with his first lead role as Davis in the 2016 Ugandan film The Only Son. He is also the executive producer of the movie. The film was nominated in six categories at the 2016 Uganda Film Festival including Best Screenplay, Best Sound, Best Editing, Film of the Year, Best lead Actor and Best Feature Film. Bobby has also been Executive producer to Tiktok and Love Faces (film) both directed by Usama Mukwaya.
Rehema is 2017 Ugandan film directed by Allan Manzi based upon a screenplay by Usama Mukwaya starring Juliet Zansaanze, Raymond Rushabiro and Ismael Ssesanga. The film premiered at the 38th Durban International Film Festival in South Africa. It held a special screening at the 4th Edition of the Euro-Uganda Film Festival on 17 June 2018 courtesy of the British Council.

The Blind Date is a 2021 Ugandan film written and directed by Loukman Ali starring Martha Kay, Michael Wawuyo Jr. and Raymond Rushabiro. The short film marks the second collaboration between Usama Mukwaya and Loukman Ali after Kyaddala TV Series which was released in 2019. The Blind Date is the first of the numerous episodes meant to make an anthology, with the follow-up episode already in the making. The film won Best short film at the 8th Uganda Film Festival awards. It had its African premiere at the 24th Zanzibar International Film Festival.

Sixteen Rounds is a 2021 Ugandan film written and directed by Loukman Ali starring Michael Wawuyo Jr. and Natasha Sinayobye. The short film premiered on YouTube on September 16, 2021, and marks the second installment to The Blind Date, an anthology of short films between Usama Mukwaya and Loukman Ali. The film's soundtrack is designed by longtime collaborator, Andrew Ahuura and features songs by Keneth Mugabi and Fred Masagazi.
