The Uganda Film Festival Award for Best Feature Film is an award presented annually by Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) at the Uganda Film Festival Awards. Introduced in 2013 at the inception of the Uganda Film Festival Awards, the award is given in honor of a producer who has exhibited outstanding production for a feature film.

Nisha Kalema is a Ugandan multi-award winning actress, producer and writer. She won 3 Best Actress Awards at the Uganda Film Festival Awards in 2015, 2016 and 2018 for her roles as Grace in The Tailor, Amelia in Freedom and Veronica in Veronica's Wish respectively.

Freedom is a 2016 Ugandan drama film set in the pre-NRA war times and details the despicable abuse suffered by an unlucky Amelia at the hands of her adoptive father. The film was produced by Richard Mulindwa and screenplay by both Mulindwa and Nisha Kalema. After its release, the film dominated nominations and awards at the 2016 Uganda Film Festival Awards with nine nominations and six wins including Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Actor (film) and Best Actress (film).

The Uganda Film Festival Awards, also known as UFF Awards, are presented annually to recognize excellence in the film Industry in Uganda. The awards started in 2013 under a Uganda Communications Commission initiative to recognize and develop the Ugandan film industry. Nominated films are screened at a five-day festival that also runs training, workshops, exhibitions and outreaches. The awarding night marks the helm of the film festival that runs for three days.

The award was introduced in 2013 and the first winner of the award was Matt Bish for his directing work on State Research Bureau. Rehema Nanfuka became the first female director to be nominated at the Uganda Film Festival Awards in 2018 and became the first female director to win the award in Uganda.

Devil's Chest is a 2017 Ugandan war film about the Lord's Resistance Army insurgency in northern Uganda. It was written, produced and directed by Hassan Mageye and stars Hasifah Nande Nakitende and Samuel Rogers Masaaba in the lead roles. It premiered in Gulu in October 2017 and in Kampala in May 2019.

Morris Herbert Mugisha, commonly known as Morris Mugisha is a Ugandan actor, director, photographer, model and reality television star commonly known for representing Uganda to the third season of Big Brother Africa in 2008 and his debut directorial feature film Stain which received twelve at the Uganda Film Festival Awards, winning five and also won an award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2021.

The Passenger is a 2023 Ugandan film directed by Hadijah Nakanjako and written by Meddy Sserwadda. The film stars Henry Nathan Katongole, Allen Musumba and Olot Bonny Elem in leading roles. Usama Mukwaya serves as the executive producer through O Studios Entertainment.
