Morris Herbert Mugisha, commonly known as Morris Mugisha is a Ugandan actor, director, photographer, model and reality television star commonly known for representing Uganda to the third season of Big Brother Africa in 2008 [1] and his debut directorial feature film Stain which received twelve (the most nominations) at the Uganda Film Festival Awards, winning five and also won an award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2021. Mugisha was a model and photographer before he represented Uganda in the third season of Big Brother Africa in 2008 where he finished in the sixth place during the eviction phase. [5] [6] He returned home and started a production company MOIDEAS where he is an art director, producer and copywriter. His first film production was a short film called "Fear Knows My Name" in 2019. In 2021, his directorial feature film "Stain" was nominated twelve times at the Uganda Film Festival Awards with the most nomination and won five awards including Best Feature Film. Mugisha also received a nomination for Best Director at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in Nigeria while the film received other six nominations and won an award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Mugisha who had been doing acting in radio and television commercials landed his first onscreen acting role as Kevin in Mistakes Girls Do and then went on to play other roles in Kyaddala in 2019, Black Glove 2021 and Sanyu 2021. He was born in Kigezi. He graduated from Makerere University with a degree in arts (Literature communication and film), a diploma in performing Arts (Music Dance and Drama) as well as a Diploma in Radio and TV production.

Big Brother is a reality competition television franchise created by John de Mol Jr., first broadcast in the Netherlands in 1999 and subsequently syndicated internationally. The show features contestants called "housemates" or "HouseGuests" who live together in a specially constructed house that is isolated from the outside world. Born in Arua on 4 December 1983 to a Lugbara couple, the late Lt.Colonel Gabriel Francis Atiku and Yema Drakuru Atiku, his debut villain role won him over five international accolades including Best Supporting Actor at the Balafon Film Festival in Bari, Italy (2008) and 2009's Best Actor in Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) in Lagos, Nigeria. Battle of the Souls is a 2007 supernatural Ugandan thriller directed by Matt Bish. It featured in the 28th African Film Festival of Verona (Italy). Dubbed the 'first' Ugawood feature film, it was also Matt's maiden film after returning home to Kampala in 2005 from film school in Amsterdam. He assembled a cast that made film history. It received 10 nominations at the 5th Africa Movie Academy Awards and eventually scooped the awards for Best Visual Effect and Best Supporting Actor.

Set in a present day high school life, Kyaddala a Luganda word for "It's Real", focuses on real life social issues that affect young people across Africa and their attempts to overcome those issues. The series features actors and actresses from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Nigeria. Kyaddala premiered on 27 September 2019 at Kingdom Kampala.
