The Overseer is a Christian metal band from Bentonville, Arkansas started in 2007. [2] They released an independent EP in 2010 entitled The Overseer, and two successive studio albums with their label Solid State Records entitled We Search, We Dig (2012) and Rest and Let Go (2014). [2]

Studio albums

The band released their debut studio album We Search, We Dig on June 19, 2012, with Solid State. [6] Their second studio LP entitled Rest and Let Go came out on March 4, 2014 again through Solid State. [7] The album charted at Nos. 44 and 47 on the Billboard Christian Albums and Heatseeker Albums charts, for the week of March 22, 2014. [8] [9] [10] The song entitled "Fragile Wings" peaked at No. 14 on the Christian Rock chart for the week of April 19, 2014. [11] [12]

Side Projects

Darren King was playing guitar in the new album of the Christian alternative metal band, Project 86, Knives to the Future and became an official member soon after. [13]

Abishai Collingsworth played live for a Christian death metal band, Becoming the Archetype, [14] and is currently playing with the Christian post-hardcore band, Wolves at the Gate. [15]

Bradley Riggs also performed live with Becoming the Archetype with Abishai Collingsworth. [16]

Anthony Rivera used to perform Vocals for the Christian Hardcore band, Here I Come Falling [17] and drums for Letlive and The Ghost Inside.

The CD debuted at No. 18 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the top 100 of the Billboard 200. The band was part of the new wave of American heavy metal. After 2012's I Am, the band went on an indefinite hiatus. In 2022, however, the band reunited with the lineup of Jason Wisdom, Seth Hecox, and Brent “Duck” Duckett.

Come to the Well is the fifth studio album by American contemporary Christian band Casting Crowns, released on October 18, 2011, through Beach Street and Reunion Records. The album, which has a predominantly pop rock and rock sound, was based on the Biblical story of the woman at the well. In writing the album, lead vocalist Mark Hall collaborated with songwriters Steven Curtis Chapman, Matthew West, and Tom Douglas. JJ Weeks Band is an American contemporary Christian music band from Macon, Georgia that began in 2001. XXI (formerly, A Feast for Kings (AFFK)) is an American Christian metal band that also takes influences from Alternative metal and Post-hardcore. They come from Carrollton, Kentucky, where they were formed in 2010, with lead vocalist Eric Gentry. Eric's death in 2014 was the reasoning behind the band's name change, with 'XXI' (Roman numerals for '21') being Eric's age at the time of his death. Their first extended play, Hell on Earth, was released in 2014, shortly before Eric's death, and under their former name. The debut studio album, Inside Out, was released with Carson Butcher as lead vocalist on Tooth & Nail Records in 2015. This album was their breakthrough album on both the Billboard magazine Christian Albums and Heatseekers Albums charts.
