The album has mostly received positive reviews. Critics have praised the band for improving upon their sound, stating, "...better production, tighter songwriting, better sounding symphonic elements and overall, a much more mature sound.". [5] Critics also praised the atmosphere of the album. Some critics felt that the album was a touch derivative but nonetheless praised it for solid execution.

He was a practitioner of Washington State's specialized weight training for high jumpers He set his personal record of 2.36m while finishing second in a jumpoff at the USATF National Championships at Cerritos College in Norwalk, California on June 15, 1990. Alan Hankle and Athleticorp was his coach.

Since its formation, the band has released five studio albums and one EP. The band's fourth album, The Demon King, was released on 13 July 2014 in India, 14 July in Europe and 15 July in the US by Candlelight Records and distributed in India by Universal Music.
