"Rescue Me" is a song by British rock band You Me at Six. The song features vocals from Chiddy, one half of the American hip-hop duo Chiddy Bang and was released in the United Kingdom on 13 February 2011; where it debuted at number 21 on the UK Singles Chart and number 50 on the Irish Singles Chart.
"Kids" is a song by American rock band MGMT. It was released as the third and final single from their debut studio album Oracular Spectacular (2007) on October 13, 2008. The version of the song that appears on Oracular Spectacular is updated from earlier versions that appear on the band's EPs Time to Pretend (2005) and We (Don't) Care (2004). A track entitled "Kids " appears on the album Climbing to New Lows (2005). On December 1, 2009, the track was announced as a nominee at the 52nd Grammy Awards in the category Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.

His name, XV, refers to the age (15) at which he began his musical career. On Monday July 26, 2010, XV announced that he had signed a recording contract with Warner Bros. Chidera Anamege, now known by his stage name Chiddy Bang, is an American rapper from Philadelphia. Prior to its breakup, Chiddy Bang was an American hip hop duo consisting of Anamege, under the stage name Chiddy, and Noah Beresin, under the stage name Xaphoon Jones. The duo was introduced by former band member Zachary Sewall in late 2008 while the two were studying at Drexel University, in Beresin's hometown of Philadelphia. Anamege's sound is based on the fusion of hip hop and alternative using samples from artists such as Ellie Goulding, Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens, Passion Pit, MGMT, Matt and Kim and Yelle. In 2013, Beresin left the group to focus on producing, and Anamege became a solo artist, with Beresin playing the role as frequent collaborator.

It was released in the United States on April 20, 2010. It was released online to blogs under the name "Kids" approximately one year prior to that. In late 2010, "Opposite of Adults" was featured as the background music for the Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit video game commercial, as well as in the game, in an episode of Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory, and in episode 8 of Friday Night Lights's fifth season. Black Cards was an American electronic music band that formed in July 2010 as Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz's new main project following the band's hiatus. Originally conceived as a four-piece electropop band, Wentz played bass guitar and wrote the band's lyrics, while singer Bebe Rexha filled in on vocals. The pair met when Wentz and producer Sam Hollander overheard Rexha recording demos at their studio. Nate Patterson and Spencer Peterson completed the lineup with guitar and drums respectively.

The third mixtape released by the group, it consists of 15 tracks featuring several other rappers including Trae. The mixtape contains many references to the Guinness World Record for longest freestyle rap set by the group's rapper Chidera Anamege.
"Pon de Floor" is a song by Major Lazer, a collaborative musical project consisting of the American DJ Diplo and the British DJ Switch. The single was released in 2009 by Mad Decent and Downtown Records as the second single from Major Lazer's first studio album, Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do. The duo wrote the song and produced it with Afrojack and vocals by Vybz Kartel. "Pon de Floor" is a dancehall and baile funk song and was positively received by music critics. It appeared on the charts in the United Kingdom in 2010, where it reached number 125. Eric Wareheim directed the music video for "Pon de Floor", which shows people dry humping, and incorporates daggering choreography. The song has been heavily sampled in Chiddy Bang's "Shooter" and Beyoncé's "Run the World (Girls)".

In the United Kingdom, the song debuted at number one with first-week sales of over 109,000 copies, becoming his second number-one single. It also served as the closing song at Murs' 2012 arena tour.

It was released in the United States on July 19, 2011 as a digital download as the lead single from their debut studio album Breakfast. The song takes a sample of "Manners" from the Icona Pop's self-titled debut album. The song did not enter the Billboard Hot 100 but peaked on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart at number 15, as well as reaching number 19 on the Top Heatseekers. The official remix features Gym Class Heroes frontman and rapper Travie McCoy. The single is featured in the soundtrack for the EA Sports video game Madden NFL 12.

The duo began their career as remixers in the city of New York, United States, eventually signing to their first ever major record label. Their 2010 single "Dancing With The DJ" was their first instant online success. Philadelphia hiphop band Chiddy Bang sampled The Knocks' "Blackout" for their single "Here We Go" from their EP The Preview. Chiddy Bang subsequently sampled The Knocks' "When You've Got Music" and "Dancing with the DJ" for their mixtape Peanut Butter and Swelly. After the success of "Dancing With The DJ", their debut extended play, entitled Magic was released in 2011.
