The Unseen Empire is the fifth studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band Scar Symmetry. It was released on 15 April 2011 in Europe, and on 17 May 2011 in North America. The album sold around 1,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release, and landed at position number 11 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart. This is the last album to feature contributions from guitarist Jonas Kjellgren, who left the band in 2013 due to other commitments.

Drummer Henrik Ohlsson said that the album "seeks to expose the hidden hand of the elite that pull the strings of mankind in order to fulfill their agenda of global domination." [5]

Jonas Kjellgren is a Swedish musician and producer, now residing in Grangärde. He has been lead vocalist for Carnal Forge and Dellamorte, played guitar for Centinex, and played bass for October Tide. He is most famous for being the former co-founder and guitarist of Scar Symmetry, founded in 2005. As a producer, he has worked with bands such as Sonic Syndicate, Zonaria, Steel Attack, 21Lucifers, Darzamat and The Absence. He owns and operates Black Lounge Studios, which many Swedish metal bands use to record, mix and master their albums, although most of his own production efforts are done at The Abyss, which is owned by Peter Tägtgren. Kjellgren is known for playing seven-string guitars.

<i>Rendered in Vain</i> 2006 EP by Zonaria

Rendered in Vain is the second demo recording by Swedish melodic death metal band, Zonaria. This album was recorded at Black Lounge studios, Avesta, Sweden with Jonas Kjellgren of Scar Symmetry and would feature a guest appearance by Christian Älvestam. The song, "Rendered in Vain" would also be used in the video game The Darkness. All three tracks would go on to be re-recorded for their full-length debut.

Holographic Universe is the third studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band Scar Symmetry. It is the last album to feature vocalist Christian Älvestam, who parted ways with the band shortly after the album's completion. It was released on 20 June 2008 in Europe, and on 7 July 2008 in North America. The album peaked on the charts at 37 in Finland, and 65 in Austria. A music video for the song "Morphogenesis" premiered on 18 September. The album is rumoured to be loosely based on Michael Talbot's book The Holographic Universe.

Solfernus' Path is the sixth album by the Polish symphonic black metal band Darzamat, released on August 28, 2009. It was recorded at several studios in Poland. The drums and guitars were recorded at HH Poland Studio in Gliwice, while the vocals were recorded at Maq Studio. The keyboard parts were recorded at Spectre 's home studio. The album was produced by Jonas Kjellgren and featured a guest appearance by Andy LaRocque who played the guitar solo for the song King of Burning Anthems. Solution .45 was a melodic death metal supergroup from Sweden, formed by guitarist Jani Stefanovic. Their final lineup consisted of vocalist Christian Älvestam, guitarists Stefanovic and Patrik Gardberg, drummer Rolf Pilve, and bassist Henric Liljesand.

He is also the guitarist for Swedish progressive rock group Kaipa and since 2017 he is the lead guitarist for Swedish power metal band Nocturnal Rites.
