Theo Paul Doropoulos (born 25 April 1985) is an Australian journalist and former Australian cricketer of Greek origin. He played for South Australia,Western Australia and Wellington.
Doropoulos represented Australia at under-19 level,Western Australia at both under-17 and under-19 and played for South Shields Cricket Club in the English North East Premier League. [1] He played as a right-handed batsman and bowled right-arm fast-medium. He made his Twenty20 debut for Western Australia in January 2007 and his first-class cricket and List A cricket debuts in November 2007.
Doropoulos previously held the record for the highest score in an under-19 One Day International,scoring 179 not out against England in 2003. [2] [3]
Doropoulos’s most noticeable moment came during a test match between Australia and the West Indies at the WACA Ground in 2009 when after Nathan Hauritz went down with during the West Indies second innings with Doropoulos becoming a substitute fielder in his place. Doropoulos upon his introduction dropped a catch from Sulieman Benn of the bowling of Clint McKay but soon after took a redeeming catch,this time of his WA teammate Mitchell Johnson’s bowling to remove Benn. Doropoulos was mistaken in several times by commentators most notably Michael Slater who said it was Marcus Stoinis who took the catch. [4]
In June 2011,after being dropped from Western Australia's squad,Doropoulos signed with South Australia. [5] He also played 3 matches for the Adelaide Stikers in the Big Bash League.
After not being offered a contract by South Australia in 2012,Doropoulos started working in the media working as sports reporter for Channel 7 in Adelaide on 7 News Adelaide where he focused mainly the AFL football while also reporting on his former sport cricket. [6] In 2024,he moved to Melbourne where he worked in a similar role on 7 News Melbourne,he has also appeared on the station cricket coverage as a boundary commentator a similar role he done on Triple M’s AFL coverage.
Mark Edward Waugh is an Australian cricket commentator and former international cricketer,who represented Australia in Test matches from early 1991 to late 2002,after previously making his One Day International (ODI) debut in 1988. Waugh was a part of the Australian team that won the 1999 Cricket World Cup.

Michael Edward Killeen Hussey is an Australian cricket coach,commentator and former international cricketer,who played all forms of the game. Hussey is also widely known by his nickname 'Mr Cricket'. Hussey was a relative latecomer to both the Australian one-day international and Test teams,debuting at 28 and 30 years of age in the respective formats,with 15,313 first-class runs before making his Test debut. With his time representing Australia,Hussey won multiple ICC titles with the team:the 2007 Cricket World Cup,the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy,and the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy.

While in Australia,England also played a number of tour matches against state and representative teams,and competed in two One-Day International (ODI) tournaments. Ashley Alexander Mallett was an Australian cricketer who played in 38 Tests and 9 One Day Internationals between 1968 and 1980. Until Nathan Lyon,he was Australia's most successful off spin bowler since World War II. He extracted a lot of bounce from his high arm action,coupled with his height. He was a part of the Australian squad which finished as runners-up at the 1975 Cricket World Cup.
