Theodore Capistrano Boborol (born December 19, 1979) is a Filipino film and television director who started as a creative researcher for Star Cinema in 2000. Boborol made his directorial debut with the teen romantic comedy-drama film Just the Way You Are (2015). He rose to prominence for directing his second feature film, Vince and Kath and James (2016), which was a commercial and critical success. [2] His third film Finally Found Someone , is one of the highest-grossing films of 2017 in the Philippines. [3]

Life and career

Boborol was born in Dapitan, Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines.[ citation needed ] His mother, Zenaida Capistrano Boborol, was a public school teacher, and his father, Tomas Adaza Boborol, is a retired government employee.[ citation needed ]

The 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is the 42nd edition of the annual Metro Manila Film Festival held in Metro Manila and throughout the Philippines. It is organized by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). This is the first time that the festival committee required producers to submit either picture lock versions or finished films, instead of screenplays in previous editions. Vince and Kath is an online romantic series written by Filipino author Jenny Ruth Almocera. The story consists of screenshots of SMS and chat conversations between the characters with few narrative sections. Each album consists of chapters of the story. Similar to Kiko Laxa Ferrer's authors on Kikodora Social Serye fan page. After its debut release on January 2, 2016 on Life and Social Media fan page, it became popular on social media. Due to its success, the book version is released under ABS-CBN Publishing Incorporated. The series was ended on May 17, 2016 with a total of 24 chapters.

The Super Parental Guardians is a 2016 Philippine action comedy film starring Vice Ganda and Coco Martin. The film is directed by Joyce Bernal and is under the production of Star Cinema. The film marks the second feature film collaboration between Coco and Vice after Beauty and the Bestie. This is Vice Ganda's first film without the involvement of VIVA Films and the first to be directed by Bernal since Wenn V. Deramas' death in February 2016. This also marks as Vice Ganda's first non-MMFF movie, together with Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers since This Guy's in Love with U Mare! in 2012.

Christian Mercurio Bables, is a Filipino actor. He was declared Best Leading Actor at the 5th Hanoi International Film Festival for his character "Intoy" in the movie Signal Rock. He was also given a Best Supporting Actor Award at the Gawad Urian Awards for his trans woman character "Barbs" in the movie Die Beautiful.
