History

Make It with You was aired on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida evening block every weeknights at 8:30 P.M. from January 13 to March 13, 2020 for a total of 45 episodes. [2]

Due to the community quarantines caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, the drama's tapings were put on halt and its timeslot was replaced by reruns of On the Wings of Love from March 16, 2020 until the network ceased its free-to-air broadcast operations on May 5, 2020. [3]

Cancellation

On June 4, 2020, it was announced that Make It with You was among the series cancelled, along with Pamilya Ko . [4] This happened a month after ABS-CBN ceased its free-to-air broadcast operations on May 5, 2020, [5] due to the cease and desist order issued by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and Solicitor General Jose Calida. [6] Director Theodore Boborol stated that "ABS-CBN was already badly hit by the pandemic, and then suffered a double blow when its renewal was not granted." [7] [8]

Revival

It would later return on May 13, 2024, replacing Can't Buy Me Love, exclusively for Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, Jeepney TV, Kapamilya Online Live, All TV and TV5.

The renewal of the congressional franchise of the Philippine media network ABS-CBN to continue broadcasting was a dispute between the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte and the media conglomerate arising on the terms and conditions of the franchise renewal agreement. The next day, exercising constitutional powers, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) then issued a cease-and-desist order demanding ABS-CBN to cease all of its free TV and radio broadcasting immediately. ABS-CBN complied with the government order and shut down all of its radio stations and free television channels later that day. On June 30, 2020, the NTC released two alias cease-and-desist orders against ABS-CBN TV Plus and Sky Direct.
