Rogue Traders is an Australian electronic rock band formed in Melbourne, Victoria in 2002 by mainstay James Ash on keyboards. In 1989, Ash met fellow original member Steve Davis in London while both were working as DJs. Before forming Rogue Traders, the pair had worked together on many projects, including the dance music act Union State, which relocated to Melbourne in 1992. The group's name comes from the 1999 drama film, Rogue Trader. They were joined in 2004 by soap opera actress, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, on lead vocals, Cameron McGlinchey on drums and Tim Henwood on guitar. Davis continued as a behind-the-scenes member, contributing to the songwriting process but not making any public appearances with the group.
Amiel Muki Daemion, also known as just Amiel, is an American-Australian pop singer, songwriter and actress. She moved to Australia with her family at the age of two and starred in films in the 1990s, including The Silver Brumby, which also starred Russell Crowe and Caroline Goodall. Her music career shot to fame in 1999 when she teamed up with producer Josh G. Abrahams for the song "Addicted to Bass" which became a top twenty hit in Australia, this led to Daemion releasing studio albums such as Audio Out in 2003 and These Ties in 2005.
Joel Turner is an Australian beatboxer, singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and record producer best known for the Australian hit song "These Kids". As a beatboxer, he is recognised for his trademark sounds such as his "third voice", cowbell, teeth beats and bass guitar. He was the victor at the Beatbox Battle World Championship in 2005 and retained the title until 2009.
Demetrius C. Savelio, better known by his stage name Savage, is a New Zealand rapper and a former member of hip hop group the Deceptikonz. Savage was the first New Zealand hip hop artist to have a commercial single achieve platinum certification status in the United States. The "International Breakthrough" accolade of the Pacific Music Awards was created in his honour. Savage also has applied his recognisable voice in the electronic dance music space with 5× platinum hit ''Freaks'' with Timmy Trumpet, and 4 times platinum hit ''Swing'' with Joel Fletcher.
Disco Montego was an Australian R&B and dance music trio. The Dowlut brothers Dennis and Darren, together with Tony Vass formed Kaylan in Melbourne in 1995. They released an R&B album No Commandments in 2000, which reached No. 23 in Australia and spawned three top 50 singles. In May 2001, they became the studio based group Disco Montego, and released further singles followed by Disco Montego in September 2002. Their production work included remixing Mariah Carey's "Boy " in 2004.
Audio Out is the first album by the Australian singer Amiel, released in Australia by Festival Records on 18 August 2003. Produced by Josh Abrahams, the album is filled with a variety of strange pop songs which helped the album to receive favorable reviews. Amiel states that the album comes from the love of so many different kinds of music; hip hop, folk and pop music and she states "[the album] is my weird take on the world. It all comes from how I see the world." Audio Out debuted inside the top twenty on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart and is her highest selling album to date. The singles released from the album had minor success on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart with "Lovesong" being a top ten hit, "Obsession " becoming a top twenty hit while "Tonight" failed to crack the top fifty. The album nominated Amiel for five awards at the 2003 ARIA Awards including; "Single of the Year", "Highest Selling Single", "Best Female Artist", "Breakthrough Artist - Album" and "Best Pop Release".
"Swing" is the lead single from New Zealand hip hop artist Savage's debut solo album, Moonshine. It was released in January 2005, and reached number one on the New Zealand singles chart. In 2008, it was released in the United States with a remix featuring American rapper Soulja Boy, which reached number 45 on the Billboard Hot 100. The remix featured on Savage's second studio album and US debut, Savage Island, alongside a second remix featuring American rapper Pitbull. The song was also covered by metalcore bands Miss May I and Drop Dead, Gorgeous.
"Lost and Running" is a song by Australian rock group Powderfinger. It was released as the first single from the group's sixth studio album Dream Days at the Hotel Existence. It is the band's twenty-second single and peaked at No. 5 on the Australian chart, the group's second highest-charting single after "My Happiness". It made its radio debut on 13 April on Triple J and was released to wide radio play and the band's MySpace on 16 April 2007. The single was officially released on 12 May 2007.

The Potbelleez are a three-member Irish-Australian electro-house and dance music group, which formed in 2003 as a duo by DJs Dave Goode and Jonny Sonic. In 2005 they were joined by rapper Blue MC on vocals and in 2006 by iKid on vocals. In October 2007, the group issued their breakthrough single, "Don't Hold Back", which peaked at No. 5 on the ARIA Singles Chart and, in 2011, it was certified 3× Platinum by ARIA. On 22 November 2008 their debut self-titled album was released, which reached No. 17 on the ARIA Albums Chart. On 27 May 2011 they issued a second studio album, Destination Now, which peaked at the same position. It spawned Gold and Multi Platinum-accredited singles "Hello" (2010) and "From the Music" (2011).
"Who's That Girl" is an up-tempo electro R&B song performed by Australian singer-songwriter Guy Sebastian which features American rapper Eve. It was written by Sebastian, with Eve writing and performing the rap. Sebastian co-produced the song with Andre Harris. Released as a digital download on 5 November 2010, it was the only single released in Australia from Sebastian's retrospective album Twenty Ten. "Who's That Girl" reached number one on the ARIA Singles Chart, Sebastian's fifth of six number one singles in Australia and Eve's first. It was also Sebastian's seventh of 12 top ten singles on the Australian charts. It reached 5× platinum certification in 2014.

Joel Fletcher Allan, better known as Joel Fletcher, is a music producer and DJ from Melbourne, Australia, who is best known for his 2013 remix of New Zealand rapper Savage's 2005 single "Swing", which charted in Australia and in New Zealand. In 2014, Fletcher was a support act for Avicii's headline tour for the Melbourne and Brisbane dates. At the APRA Music Awards of 2015, Fletcher won Dance Work of the Year for "Swing ", which was co-written by Fletcher, Demetrius Savelio, Nathan Holmes and Aaron Ngawhika.
Grace Kathleen Elizabeth Shaw, known professionally as Mallrat, is an Australian musician, singer, and rapper from Brisbane. Mallrat has released three EPs: Uninvited (2016), In the Sky (2018) and Driving Music (2019). She also released her full-length debut studio album titled Butterfly Blue (2022) in May 2022 to critical acclaim. In 2019, her tracks "Groceries" and "UFO" placed at number 7 and 70, respectively, in the 2018 Triple J Hottest 100, in 2020, "Charlie" and "Nobody's Home" placed at number 3 and 59, respectively, in the 2019 Triple J Hottest 100 and in 2021, "Rockstar" placed 13 in the 2020 Triple J Hottest 100.
