Thomas Holzer (born 27 December 1985) is a German racing driver.
Born in Augsburg, Holzer began his karting career in 1997, before moving into the Formula BMW ADAC championship in 2001, with ADAC e.V. Motorsport. [1] Holzer finished seventh in the championship. [2] He switched teams and went to the main class, joining Mücke Motorsport for 2002 and finished the season on the sixth place with two wins at EuroSpeedway Lausitz. [3]
Holzer graduated to the Formula 3 class in 2003, joining the German Formula Three Championship and Trella Motorsport. He finished seventh with one podium. [4] He stayed in the series for the next year, but switched to his family team AM-Holzer Rennsport. He improved to fifth place in the standings and won race at EuroSpeedway Lausitz. [5]
In 2005, Holzer moved to the Formula 3 Euro Series. He finished 22nd in the standings without scoring a point. [6]
After six-year absence Holzer returned in racing, participating in local series ADAC GT Masters with Heico Motorsport. [7]
In 2012 Holzer moved to the endurance racing, joining FIA World Endurance Championship and Lotus. [8] He continued his LMP2 campaign with Lotus-backed Kodewa in 2013. [9]

Harald Ertl was an Austrian racing driver and motorsport journalist. He was born in Zell am See and attended the same school as Grand Prix drivers Jochen Rindt, Helmut Marko and Niki Lauda.
The Lausitzring is a race track located near Klettwitz in the state of Brandenburg in northeast Germany, near the borders of Poland and the Czech Republic. It was originally named Lausitzring as it is located in the region of Lusatia, known as Lausitz in German, but was renamed EuroSpeedway Lausitz for better international communication from 2000 to 2010. The EuroSpeedway has been in use for motor racing since 2000. Among other series, DTM takes place there annually. It also used to host the Superbike World Championship.
