Tiki Lafe (born 11 May 1954) was the Member of Parliament of Malaysia for the Mas Gading constituency in Sarawak from 1999 to 2013,representing the Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) in the then-ruling Barisan Nasional coalition. [1]
Tiki was a Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development in the Barisan Nasional government (appointed in 2004 [2] ),but was left out of the ministry after the 2008 election. [3] His loss of the ministry triggered unhappiness among the Bidayuh community in Sarawak that there were no longer any Bidayuh appointed to the ministry. [4] He was dropped as a Barisan Nasional candidate for the 2013 election. He recontested the seat as an independent,but was defeated by the Barisan Nasional candidate Nogeh Gumbek. [5] [6] Presently he is a member of Malaysian United Indigenous Party or Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU),a component of Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition,in which he joined in 2018.

The National Front is a political coalition of Malaysia that was founded in 1973 as a coalition of centre-right and right-wing political parties to succeed the Alliance Party. It is the third largest political coalition with 30 seats in the Dewan Rakyat after Pakatan Harapan (PH) with 82 seats and Perikatan Nasional (PN) with 74 seats.
The ninth Sarawak state election was held on Saturday,20 May 2006 with nomination day on Tuesday,9 May 2006. The election functioned to elect 71 representatives to the Sarawak State Assembly. The eighth state assembly was dissolved by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak,Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng by the advice of Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud,on 24 April 2006.
Dato' Seri Ir. Mohammad Nizar bin Jamaluddin is a Malaysian politician and engineer who has served as Member of the Perak State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) state administrations under Menteris Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu and Saarani Mohamad from May 2018 to the collapse of the PH state administration in March 2020 and again since November 2022 as well as Member of the Perak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sungai Rapat since May 2018. He served as the 10th Menteri Besar of Perak from March 2008 to the collapse of the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) state administration in February 2009,MLA for Changkat Jering from May 2013 to May 2018,for Pasir Panjang from March 2008 to May 2013 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bukit Gantang from April 2009 to May 2013. He is a member of the National Trust Party (AMANAH),a component party of the PH coalition and was a member of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS),a former component party of the PR coalition. He is also presently the sole Perak AMANAH MLA.
Dato' Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi is a Malaysian politician who has served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural and Regional Development since December 2022. A member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),he has served as its leader and the chairman of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition since May 2018. Zahid has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bagan Datuk since April 1995.
Datuk Haji Abdul Rahim bin Bakri is a Malaysian politician who served as the Deputy Minister of Finance I in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz from March 2020 to August 2021,Deputy Minister of Defence,Deputy Minister of Transport,Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Ministers Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Najib Razak and former Ministers Rais Yatim,Ong Tee Keat,Kong Cho Ha and Hishammuddin Hussein from March 2008 to May 2013 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Kudat from March 2008 to November 2022. After the defeat of BN to PH in the 2018 general election,he resigned from UMNO to be an independent in 2018 and joined BERSATU in 2019.
Ronald Kiandee is a Malaysian politician. A member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) and its Vice President since August 2020 and 2nd State Chairman of Sabah since December 2022,he has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Beluran since November 1999. He served as Minister of Agriculture and Food Industries in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021. He was reappointed to the same post for a second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob from August 2021 until the dissolution of the BN government in November 2022,when BN lost its reelection campaign in the 2022 general election. Prior to serving in the Cabinet,Kiandee was the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration from 2018 to 2019 and Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat in the BN administration from 2008 to 2018. He is presently the sole MP of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party of Sabah and one of the only two Christian MPs of PN alongside Ali Biju.
Dato Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who has served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia since 2022,Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation since 2023 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Petra Jaya since March 2004. He is the first DPM from Sarawak,one of the Borneo states in Malaysia and the second DPM not from the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) after Wan Azizah Wan Ismail from the People's Justice Party (PKR).

William Nyallau Badak is a Malaysian politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lubok Antu from March 2008 to May 2018. He is an independent in support for the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition and was a member of the opposition Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) and of the Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS),a component party of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He was elected to Parliament in the 2008 election,replacing long-serving incumbent Jawah Gerang. Before entering Parliament,he was a Native Court judge. He joined PSB in 2019 after he was sacked from PRS on 22 April 2018 and dropped as a candidate in the 2018 general election. In 2021 Sarawak state election,he contested for the Batang Ai state seat as a PSB candidate but lost. On 8 November 2022,he left PSB and pledged his support for GPS.
Datuk Tiong Thai King is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Dudong from May 2016 to December 2021 and Member of Parliament (MP) for the Lanang from April 1995 to May 2013. He was a member of the federal and state opposition Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) before he quits politics in 2021. Previously he was a member of the Sarawak United Peoples' Party (SUPP),a component party of the federal and state ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition and a former component party of the federal ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.
Dato Henry Sum Agong is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lawas since March 2008. Datuk Wira Hajah Mas Ermieyati binti Samsudin is a Malaysian politician who has served as Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) since April 2023 and as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Masjid Tanah since May 2013. She served as Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Parliament and Law in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Wan Junaidi from August 2021 to the collapse of BN administration in November 2022,Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021 and the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Culture in the BN administration under former Prime Minister Najib Razak and former Minister Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz from July 2015 to the collapse of the BN administration in May 2018. She has served as the 2nd Deputy Women Chief of BERSATU since August 2020 and the Women Youth Chief of the UMNO from October 2013 to June 2018. After the defeat of BN to the Pakatan Harapan (PH) opposition coalition in the 2018 general election,she resigned from UMNO in 2018 and joined BERSATU in 2019. She is also the second female PAC chairperson after Noraini Ahmad in Malaysian history.
The Alliance of Hope is a Malaysian political coalition consisting of centre-left political parties which was formed in 2015 to succeed the Pakatan Rakyat coalition. It has been part of a "Unity Government" since November 2022 together with other political coalitions and parties as a result of the 2022 Malaysian general election,and previously for 22 months after it had won the 2018 Malaysian general election until February 2020 when it lost power as a result of the 2020 Malaysian political crisis at the federal level. The coalition deposed the Barisan Nasional coalition government during the 2018 election,ending its 60-year-long reign since independence.
