Pierre Harvey, is a Canadian sports athlete. He was the first Canadian male athlete to compete in both the 1984 Summer Olympics and 1984 Winter Olympics.
Torgny Mogren is a Swedish former cross-country skier who competed from 1984 to 1998. He won the gold medal in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. His best individual finish was a fifth in the combined pursuit at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville.
Martin Stokken was a Norwegian cross-country skier who competed at the 1948 and 1952 Summer and 1952 and 1956 Winter Olympics. At the Summer Olympics he ran 5000 m and 10,000 m, finishing fourth in the latter event in 1948. At the Winter Games he won a silver medal in the 4 × 10 km relay in 1952, placing fourth in 1956. His best individual result was six place in the 18 km in 1952 and in 15 km in 1956. At the world skiing championships Stokken won a bronze medal in the 4 × 10 km relay event in 1950 and placed fourth over 50 km in 1954. In 1954 he also won the 50 km race at the Holmenkollen ski festival and won the Holmenkollen medal. Earlier in 1949 he was awarded the Egebergs Ærespris.
Juha Iisakki Mieto is a Finnish former cross-country skier, who was born in Kurikka. He competed in the 1972, 1976, 1980 and 1984 Olympics and won five medals, including a gold medal in the 4 × 10 km relay in 1976. He also placed fourth three times, losing the 15 km bronze medal in 1972 by 0.06 seconds. He finished second in this event in 1980 in the closest-ever margin of victory in Olympic cross-country skiing, 0.01 seconds, which led the International Ski Federation (FIS) to round all of their times to the nearest 1/10 second in future competitions. Mieto was selected as the Finnish flag bearer at the 1972 Winter Olympics.
Lars Erik Eriksen is a retired Norwegian cross-country skier who competed in multiple events at the 1980 and 1984 Olympics and 1978 and 1982 World Championships. He had his best achievements in the 4 × 10 km relay, winning a bronze in 1978, a silver in 1980 and a gold in 1982, and finishing in fourth place at the 1984 Olympic Games. Individually, he performed better in longer distances, winning two medals in the 30 and 50 km at the 1982 World Championships and finishing fourth in the 50 km at the 1980 Olympic Games, though he also won the 1984 World Cup in the 15 km event. Eriksen retired in 1988, and later worked as a skiing coach, with Bjørn Dæhlie among others.
Oleksandr Mykhailovych Batyuk is a former Soviet cross-country skier who competed in the 1980s, training at Dynamo in Chernihiv. He won a silver in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. He is a member of the Ski Federation of Ukraine and the only Olympian of the federation who received medal at Olympics.
Vladimir Nikolaevich Sakhnov is a former Soviet cross-country skier who raced from 1983 to 1989. Sakhnov trained at Armed Forces sports society in Alma-Ata. He earned a silver medal in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary; his best individual Winter Olympics finish was a fourth in the 30 km event in 1984.
Fabio Maj is an Italian cross-country skier who competed from 1992 to 2004. He won two silver medals in the 4 × 10 km relay at the Winter Olympics. He also finished 13th in the 10 km + 15 km combined pursuit at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano and 13th in the 30 km event at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City which were his best individual Olympic finishes.
Andreas Schlütter is a German cross-country skier who has been competing since 1993. He won two medals in the 4 × 10 km relay at the Winter Olympics with a silver in 2006 and a bronze in 2002. Schlütter's best individual Olympic finish was fourth in the 50 km event in 2002.
John Homer Caldwell is a retired American nordic skier who competed in the 1952 Winter Olympics, then became a cross-country ski coach and authority on cross-country skiing. He wrote a series of books that helped popularize and develop understanding of recreational cross-country skiing in the United States. Consequently, Caldwell has been called the "father" and "guru" of Nordic skiing in North America.
Konrad Hallenbarter is a Swiss cross-country skier who competed in the 1980s. At the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, he finished fifth in the 4 x 10 km relay and ninth in the 50 km events.

Stefan Dotzler is a German cross-country skier who competed from 1982 to 1988. At the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, he finished sixth in the 4 × 10 km relay, 30th in the 15 km event and 37th in the 30 km event. He also participated in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, finishing 40th in the 30 km event.
