Timothy D. "Tim" Skinner is a former teacher and a Democratic politician in Indiana who served three terms in the Indiana Senate.
Skinner earned his B.A. and M.A. in Secondary Education from Indiana State University. He taught economics,government,and geography at West Vigo High School in West Terre Haute until his retirement in 2011. [1]
Skinner represented the 38th Senate District from 2002 to 2014,when he lost to Jon Ford in the general election. [2] He was the 2016 Democratic nominee for the Indiana House of Representatives,District 42. He lost to the incumbent,Alan Morrison. [3] Previously an Otter Creek Township,Vigo County,Indiana Precinct Committeeman,he also has served on the Vigo County Council (1999-2004).
Thomas Andrews Hendricks was an American politician and lawyer from Indiana who served as the 16th governor of Indiana from 1873 to 1877 and the 21st vice president of the United States from March to November 1885. Hendricks represented Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives (1851–1855) and the U.S. Senate (1863–1869). He also represented Shelby County, Indiana, in the Indiana General Assembly (1848–1850) and as a delegate to the 1851 Indiana constitutional convention. In addition, Hendricks served as commissioner of the General Land Office (1855–1859). Hendricks, a popular member of the Democratic Party, was a fiscal conservative. He defended the Democratic position in the U.S. Senate during the American Civil War and Reconstruction era and voted against the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution. He also opposed Radical Reconstruction and President Andrew Johnson's removal from office following Johnson's impeachment in the U.S. House.

Jonathan "Jon" Ford is a Republican member of the Indiana State Senate, representing District 38. He was first elected to the Indiana Senate in 2014, where he defeated the 12-year incumbent Timothy Skinner. Before running for office Ford was the president of All State Manufacturing. His main goal was to "focus on building the Wabash Valley's reputation as a quality place to study, work and live." Ford was a member of the Honey Creek Township Board. He was also the president of the Swope Art Museum and the Indiana Leadership Forum.
