Liaozhai zhiyi, sometimes shortened to Liaozhai, known in English as Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio, or literally Strange Tales from a Studio of Leisure, is a collection of Classical Chinese stories by Qing dynasty writer Pu Songling, comprising close to 500 stories or "marvel tales" in the zhiguai and chuanqi styles, which according to some critics, served to implicitly criticise societal problems. Written over a period of forty years from the late 1600s and ending in the early 1700s, it circulated in manuscripts that were copied and recopied among the author's friends but did not appear in print until 1766. Since then, many of the critically lauded stories have been adapted for other media such as film and television.

Chinese Paladin is a 2005 Chinese fantasy television series adapted from the popular Taiwanese adventure role-playing video game The Legend of Sword and Fairy by Softstar Entertainment. The series was produced by Tangren Media and Chinese Entertainment Shanghai and starred cast members from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore. It was first broadcast in January 2005 on CTV and CBG in Taiwan and Mainland China respectively. The drama was hugely popular in China and achieved high ratings of 2.7.
Hey Girl was a Taiwanese girl group. Channel [V] held an audition for the show Blackie's Teenage Club (我愛黑澀會), a variety show that aims to create new female entertainers in Taiwan. At the end of 2005, Channel [V] picked nine members to represent the other girls. These nine members were Gui Gui, Ning Er, MeiMei, Apple, Hsiao Hsun, Ya Tou, Hsiao Man, Bae Tung Tung, and Ta Ya. Together, they are affectionately known as the Nine Beauties for short.

Nicknamed "the Lion of Cinema" for his athletic physical stature and powerful screen presence, he was a popular leading man throughout the 1950s and '60s, and continued his acting career well into the 1990s. He was an early star of wuxia films associated with the Hong Kong New Wave, thanks to his roles in A Touch of Zen (1971) and The Fate of Lee Khan (1973), both directed by King Hu.
Dàndàn yōuqíng is a Mandarin Chinese studio album recorded by Taiwanese singer Teresa Teng, released on 2 February 1983. It was first distributed by Polydor Records from Hong Kong and Kolin Records from Taiwan. It contains twelve songs adapted from classical Chinese poems written during the Tang and Song Dynasties. The album experienced commercial success throughout Asia, selling over 5 million copies as of 2008 according to Xinhua News Agency.

Deep Garden is a 1987 Taiwanese mystery TV drama series based on romance novelist Chiung Yao's 1969 novel. The series was produced by Chiung Yao's husband Ping Hsin-tao and first shown on Chinese Television System. The title is taken from an 11th-century poem by Ouyang Xiu, which happens to be the favorite line of the mysterious female protagonist.
Eternal Love, also known as Three Lives, Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, is a 2017 Chinese television series starring Yang Mi and Mark Chao, directed by Lin Yufen. It is based on the xianxia novel of the same name from 2015 by Tang Qi Gong Zi. The series was broadcast on Zhejiang TV and Dragon TV from 30 January to 1 March 2017.
Balala the Fairies, or Balala, Little Magic Fairy, is a Chinese magical girl metaseries created and produced by Alpha Group. Each series focuses on a group of magical girls fighting against evil and dark forces while following their ordinary lives and personal wishes. The first installment was the live-action series of the same name, which first aired in 2008. There were four seasons in total and 52 episodes.
Hou Zong-Sheng was a writer in Chinese language. Born in Fuzhou, China, her given name Zong-Sheng was named after the alternative name of the city: Rong. During the Chinese Civil War, she migrated to Taiwan from the mainland China in 1949. She then studied in the University of Santo Tomas in the 1960s and then migrated to the United States.

Ting Huang is a lyricist, A&R, concert PR, lecturer and writer. She was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and received BA in Foreign Languages and Literature from National Taiwan University (NTU), MA in Journalism from Marshall University and MA in Film Studies from Iowa State University. Due to her degrees, Ting also had several years of professional experiences in the film industry.
