The England cricket team represents England and Wales in international cricket. Since 1997,it has been governed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB),having been previously governed by Marylebone Cricket Club since 1903. England,as a founding nation,is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with Test,One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) status. Founded in 1888,Glamorgan held minor status at first and was a prominent member of the early Minor Counties Championship before the First World War. In 1921,the club joined the County Championship and the team was elevated to first-class status,subsequently playing in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England and Wales.

Owais Alam Shah is a former England cricketer. A middle-order batsman,he played for Middlesex from 1995 to 2010 and Essex from 2011 to 2013 before announcing his retirement from first-class cricket. He is noted as being a fine fielder in the covers. He became the youngest Leicestershire one-day centurion and first-class double centurion. In 2009,Taylor also became the youngest player in Leicestershire's history to score 1,000 championship runs in a season.
William Douglas Slade was a Welsh cricketer. Slade was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born at Briton Ferry,Glamorgan.
The 2014 season marked Glamorgan County Cricket Club's 127th year of existence and its 93rd as a first-class cricket county. In 2014,Glamorgan played in the Second Division of the County Championship,Group B of the 50-over Royal London One-Day Cup and the South Group of the NatWest t20 Blast. It was the first season in charge for head coach Toby Radford. The on-field captains were Mark Wallace for the County Championship and Royal London One-Day Cup,and Jim Allenby for the NatWest t20 Blast. Unlike other counties,Glamorgan competed in limited-overs cricket without a nickname for the second year in a row.
The 2017 English cricket season was the 118th in which the County Championship had been an official competition. The season,which began on 28 March and ended on 29 September,featured two global one-day competitions played in England and Wales,the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy and the 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup. England Women's team won the World Cup,defeating India in the final at Lord's. Pakistan beat India in the Champions Trophy final.
The 2022 season was Glamorgan County Cricket Club's 135th year in existence and their 101st as a first-class cricket county. They finished third in the Second Division of the County Championship,nine points behind second-placed Middlesex;they also finished fourth in Group B of the Royal London One-Day Cup,a point off the quarter-final qualification places,and sixth in the South Group of the 2022 T20 Blast,six points off the quarter-final places. It was the team's third season with Matthew Maynard as head coach and their first with David Lloyd as captain. The team's overseas players were Australians Marnus Labuschagne and Michael Neser,and South African Colin Ingram,while Shubman Gill and Ajaz Patel were brought in during the season. Glamorgan played two 50-over matches at The Gnoll in Neath,their first matches there for 27 years,but for the third season in a row,they did not play any matches at Penrhyn Avenue in Rhos-on-Sea.
