Todd Armstrong Fitch (born February 15, 1964) [1] is an American football coach and former player who is currently an offensive analyst at Ohio State. He has served as an assistant coach at various programs since the mid-1980s.

Playing career

Fitch was born in Saline, Michigan; his family then lived in nearby Dundee but eventually moved to Bellaire, Ohio. [1] He graduated from Bellaire High School, where he played football, and then attended Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. [2] One of his best friends at Ohio Wesleyan was Tim Corbin, then two years ahead of him and the football student-manager. Fitch and Corbin were reunited in 2020 when Fitch became an assistant at Vanderbilt; Corbin had been the head baseball coach there since 2003. [3] [4] He played defensive back from 1982 to 1985, lettering 1983–1985, and earning All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors in 1985. [5]

Coaching career

Fitch served as the interim head coach for Vanderbilt following the firing of Derek Mason in the 2020 season. He coached in one game, a 42–17 loss to Tennessee. [6] [7] [8]

Timothy Carter Corbin is the head baseball coach of the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team. Since becoming coach at Vanderbilt in 2003, Corbin has transformed the Commodores from a perennial Southeastern Conference doormat to an elite program. When he arrived in 2003, Vanderbilt had only had six winning seasons in SEC play since baseball became a scholarship sport in 1968, and had only been to three NCAA tournaments in school history. Since then, they have been to all but one NCAA tournament since 2004.

Casey Brixton Weathers is an American professional baseball coach and former pitcher. He was drafted 8th overall in the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft by the Colorado Rockies. He played in college for the Vanderbilt Commodores.

The 2020 Vanderbilt Commodores football team represented Vanderbilt University in the 2020 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Commodores played their home games at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, and competed in the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
