The Togolese Women's Championship is the top flight of women's association football in Togo. The competition is run by the Togo Football Federation.

History

The first Togolese women's championship was contested in 2000. It was won by AS OTR Lomé previously known as Academie Amis du Monde. [1] The real start of the Togolese women's championship as it is now is in 2017 after two editions as just one match between the two local championship winner. [2]

Florence Edem Apefa Ezeh is a female hammer thrower from Togo, who previously represented France during her career. She set her personal best on August 9, 2002, at the European Championships in Munich. Ezeh attended the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

The Paris Saint-Germain Academy is the youth system of both Paris Saint-Germain's men's and women's teams. Managed by the Association Paris Saint-Germain, the academy was officially established in 1975, but has been developing young talents since the club's foundation in 1970. The academy now has centres in several countries around the world. Likewise, PSG began developing youth players for the women's section in 2012, with the academy officially opening in 2023. Campus PSG in Poissy is currently the training facility and home ground of both sections.

The Togo women's national football team represents Togo in international women's football since 2006. It is governed by the Togolese Football Federation (FTF), the governing body of football in Togo. The team has played five FIFA-recognised matches, in 2006 and 2007, before reappearing in the 2018 WAFU Women's Cup, set in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Their manager since January 2018 is Kaï Tomety. Togo's home stadium is the Stade de Kégué, located in Lomé.

Natalya Nikolaevna Melyokhina was a Soviet Union road cyclist. She became World Champion in the women's team time trial at the UCI Road World Championships in 1987 and finished second in 1990. In 1990 she also won stage 5 in Tour Cycliste Féminin de la Drôme and finished second in the general classification. Melyokhina died on 28 March 2024, at the age of 61.

The 2022 Women's Ball Hockey World Championship was the eighth women's ball hockey tournament to be held as part of the Ball Hockey World Championship. It was organized by the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation in collaboration with the Canadian Ball Hockey Association and was held at the Place Bell in Laval, Quebec, Canada. The tournament began on 21 June 2022 and medal games were played 27 June 2022.
