Colonel (Retired) Tom Butime (born 15 November 1947) [1] [2] is a Ugandan politician. [3] He is the Cabinet Minister of Tourism,Wildlife and Antiquities in the Ugandan Cabinet. [4] He concurrently serves as the elected representative for Mwenge County Central,Kyenjojo District,in the 10th Ugandan Parliament (2016–2021). [5]
He served as State Minister for Communications from 13 January 2005 until February 2006. After the general elections in February 2006,he was named State Minister for Karamoja Affairs,a posting he declined to assume. [6] In 2011,Butime contested for the position of Representative of Mwenge County North,but lost to David Muhumuza. [7]
Previously,Butime was the Minister of Internal Affairs from July 6,1996 to July 2001,and he also served as Minister of State for Refugees and Disaster Preparedness during that time. From 2001 until a cabinet reshuffle in January 2005,Butime served as Minister of State for International Cooperation and served as acting Foreign Minister from March 2004 to January 2005. [6] [8]
He is a trained Cinematographer. His hobby is soccer,with Manchester United as his favourite Premier league side. He also enjoys farming. [8]
The prime minister of Uganda chairs the Cabinet of Uganda,although the president is the effective head of government. Robinah Nabbanja has been the prime minister since 21 June 2021.
Kyenjojo District is a district in the Western Region of Uganda. Kyenjojo town is the site of the district headquarters.

Peter Aimat Lokeris is a Ugandan politician and accountant. He is the current Minister of State for Minerals in the Cabinet of Uganda. He was appointed to this position on 16 February 2009. In the cabinet reshuffle of 27 May 2011,and that of 1 March 2015,Peter Lokeris retained his cabinet post. He is also the elected Member of Parliament representing Chekwii County in Nakapiripirit District. He has continuously represented that constituency since 1996.

In the cabinet reshuffle of 1 March 2015,he retained his cabinet post. Prior to that,from 16 February 2009 until 1 March 2015,he served as the State Minister of Finance for Investments. He is also the elected Member of Parliament (MP),representing Mwenge County South Kyenjojo District. He has represented that constituency in parliament from 2001 until 2006 and from 2011 until now.
MusumbaIsaac Isanga is a Ugandan lawyer and politician. He served as the State Minister for Regional Foreign Affairs,from June 2006 until May 2011. In the cabinet reshuffle on 27 May 2011,he was dropped from the cabinet and was replaced by Asuman Kiyingi. He also served as the elected Member of Parliament (MP),representing "Buzaaya County",Kamuli District,from 1996 until 2011. During the 2011 national elections,he lost to Muzaale Martin Kisule Mugabi,during the National Resistance Movement (NRM) primaries. In 2016,he bounced back into the 10th parliament,representing Buzaaya County,in Kamuli District,on the NRM ticket. In the 2021 elections,he lost in the NRM primaries to Martin Muzaale and decided to contest as an Independent candidate and further lost to the NRM’s flag bearer,Muzaale Martin Kisule Mugabi
Jenipher Kacha Namuyangu,also Jennifer Namuyangu Byakatonda,but commonly referred to as Jennifer Namuyangu,is a Ugandan politician and environmentalist. She belongs to the National Resistance Movement political party. She is the current Minister of State for Bunyoro Affairs in the Prime Minister's Office and former Minister of State for Local Government in the Ugandan Cabinet. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. She previously served as the Minister of State for Water Resources,from 1 June 2006 until 27 May 2011. In the Cabinet reshuffle on 27 May 2011,she was dropped from the cabinet and was replaced by Betty Bigombe. She also served as the elected Member of Parliament for Pallisa District Women's Representative,from 2001 until 2011. In 2010,Pallisa District was split into two,to create Kibuku District. Namuyangu contested for the parliamentary seat of Kibuku County,Kibuku District. She was rigged by Saleh Kamba by a wide margin.
John Byabagambi is a Ugandan engineer and politician. He was the Cabinet Minister for Karamoja Affairs,in the Cabinet of Uganda. He was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016,and was replaced by Mary Goretti Kitutu on 8 June 2021. He previously served as Minister of Works and Transport between March 2015 and June 2016,replacing Abraham Byandala who was appointed Minister Without Portfolio. He is also the elected Member of Parliament,representing Ibanda County South,Ibanda District. He was first elected to that position in 2001.

Edward Bitanywaine Rugumayo is a Ugandan politician,diplomat,author,academic and environmentalist. He has previously served as cabinet minister in three Ugandan administrations. From 1979 until 1980,Rugumayo served as the Chairman of the Uganda Legislative Council. He currently serves as the chancellor of two Ugandan universities. He is a botanist and a community leader.

Monica Azuba Ntege is a Ugandan engineer and politician. She was the Minister of Works and Transport in the Ugandan Cabinet. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016 replacing John Byabagambi,who became Minister for Karamoja. She was replaced by Katumba Wamala in the cabinet on 14 December 2019.
Moses Kizige,is a Ugandan politician,and former State Minister for Karamoja in the Ugandan Cabinet. He served in that position from 6 June 2016 to 2021 when he was appointed Ambassador of Uganda to Moscow a position he currently holds. Kizige also served as the elected member of parliament,representing Bugabula North Constituency,in Kamuli District,in the 10th Parliament of Uganda (2016–2021).
Mary Goretti Kitutu,also Mary Goretti Kitutu Kimono is a Ugandan academic,politician and environmentalist. She was appointed Minister for Karamoja Affairs on 8 June 2021,replacing John Byabagambi. She was the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development,in the Ugandan Cabinet,from 14 December 2019 to 8 June 2021. Before that,from 10 June 2016,until 14 December 2019,she served as the State Minister for the Environment in the Cabinet of Uganda. Dr Mary Kitutu concurrently serves as the elected Manafwa District Women's Representative,in the 10th Parliament.
Godfrey Ssuubi Kiwanda is a Ugandan politician. He was the State Minister for Tourism in the Ugandan Cabinet. He was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. He concurrently serves as the elected representative of Mityana County North,Mityana District in the 10th Ugandan Parliament (2016–2021).
Charles Okello Macodwogo Engola,commonly known as Charles Okello (Macodwogo) Engola,was a Ugandan politician and a retired colonel in the Uganda People's Defence Force. He was the State Minister for Labour,Employment and Industrial Relations in the Ugandan Cabinet,as well as the Member of Parliament representing Oyam North County when he was shot and killed by his bodyguard. Previously,he had held the position of Minister of State for Defence.

Robinah Nabbanja is a Ugandan educator and politician who serves as the Prime Minister of Uganda,having been nominated to the office on 8 June 2021. She was formally confirmed by the Parliament on 21 June 2021. She replaced Ruhakana Rugunda,who was named to the post of Envoy For Special Duties In The Office Of The President of Uganda. She is the first female prime minister of Uganda.
