Sir David Joseph Dobbyn is a New Zealand musician, singer–songwriter and record producer. In his early career he was a member of the rock group Th' Dudes and was the main creative force in pop band DD Smash. Since then he has released the majority of his recordings as a solo performer.
Megan Bronwinne Alatini is a South African-born, New Zealand pop singer, actress and television personality. She rose to fame in New Zealand on the reality television series Popstars. She went on to become a member in the girl group TrueBliss. She is also known for portraying the part of Java in the popular sci-fi series The Tribe. Later she gained more exposure appearing as a judge on New Zealand Idol.
TrueBliss were a New Zealand pop girl group formed in April 1999. The band were formed on the popular television show Popstars, which aired on TVNZ's TV2 channel for nine weeks in the search for a new girl group. TrueBliss were the first ever group to be formed under the Popstars franchise, before the concept was sold to broadcasters in Australia, continental Europe, United Kingdom and the United States.

Their biggest selling video is "Where Dreams Come True", which has sold 240,000 copies to date.

The song was originally released as a free download in October 2010, where it was downloaded over 11,000 times until it was taken down in February 2011. The song was then used for a station promotion ad for TV2. The wider exposure lead to the song being released for sale in March, after which it debuted at number one on New Zealand's singles chart and charted for 19 weeks, eventually earning a 2× Platinum certification. The song was also a minor hit in Australia, charting on the ARIA Singles Chart for a single week at number 49 in September 2011.

Broods is a New Zealand musical duo from Nelson, composed of Georgia Josiena Nott on lead vocals, with older brother and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Allan Joseph Nott on production and backing vocals. They released the single "Bridges", which went to No. 8 on the New Zealand singles chart, and signed with Capitol and Polydor Records. They released their self-titled debut EP, Broods, on 30 January 2014, which was followed by a full-length album, Evergreen, on 22 August 2014. The band has toured with Ellie Goulding, Haim, Sam Smith, Tove Lo and Taylor Swift. They have won ten New Zealand Music Awards. On 24 June 2016, Broods released their second album, Conscious. They released their third album Don't Feed the Pop Monster on 1 February 2019.

Kingdon Chapple-Wilson, known professionally as Kings, is a New Zealand rapper, singer and songwriter. He has been producing music under his self-run label Arch Angel Records since 2018 and broke the record of longest running No. 1 New Single in 2017 for his song "Don't Worry Bout' It".
Popstars is a New Zealand reality documentary television show. The first series aired on TVNZ in 1999 and showed the establishment of a five-piece girl group, TrueBliss. The series was the origin of the Popstars reality TV series format, which went on to be sold to over 50 countries. A second New Zealand series of Popstars screened in 2021, making the New Zealand format the only one remaining in the franchise to keep ongoing to this day.
