Jonathan Keith Smart is an American collegiate basketball coach and former player. He is perhaps best remembered for hitting the game-winning shot in the 1987 NCAA championship game that gave the Indiana Hoosiers a 74–73 victory over the Syracuse Orangemen. He had transferred to Indiana from Garden City Community College in Kansas where he was a two-year standout and Jayhawk Conference Player of the Year.

He was the first and currently only player to play in the NBA born in the state of Alaska. Also, Chalmers is the only Alaskan to win a championship in the high school, college, and pro levels. Jarvis Lamar Varnado is an American professional basketball player for Club Atlético Aguada of the Liga Uruguaya de Básquetbol. Varnado is known as a defensive specialist and is especially adept at shot blocking where he's aided by his large wingspan.
John Lewis Linehan is an American former professional basketball player and currently an assistant basketball coach for the Georgia Bulldogs. At 5'9" and 165 lbs., he played at the point guard position. He was nicknamed, "Le Virus".
Van Usher is an American former basketball player. He played college basketball for the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles from 1989 to 1992. A 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) point guard, he holds school and Ohio Valley Conference records for single game, season, and career assist and steal totals. In 1990–91, he led NCAA Division I in steals with a 3.71 per game average. He had recorded 104 steals in 28 games en route to being named an OVC Second Team honoree. The following year as a senior, he led Division I in assists while averaging 8.76 per game. In 29 games, he accumulated 254 total assists as he earned an OVC First Team honor. He is one of two college basketball players to lead the country in both steals and assists. After college, he signed with the Rochester Renegade of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) but was placed on the injured reserve list before the start of his stint.
David Holston is an American professional basketball player for JDA Dijon Basket of France's LNB Pro A. He played college basketball at the Chicago State University (CSU). In 2019, he was named the Most Valuable Player of the French LNB Pro A.
Terrel Andre Harris is an American former professional basketball player who last played for Maccabi Ashdod of the Israeli Super League.
Sedric Webber, sometimes misspelled as Cedric Webber, is an American retired professional basketball player. He played the small forward position for a career that spanned between 1999 and 2006 in which he played in numerous countries and leagues. Webber was also a standout college player for the College of Charleston (CofC) between 1995 and 1999.
Jason Alexander Brickman is a Filipino-American basketball player who played for the Kaohsiung Aquas of the T1 League. He completed his college career for the Long Island University Blackbirds after the 2013–14 season. Brickman was considered one of the best passers in the nation according to ESPN analyst Jay Bilas. Of Brickman, Bilas said "He really understands angles very well. He gets the ball to (LIU's) best players, and he does a really nice job of managing the game. An excellent passer." Brickman led NCAA Division I in assists per game as a junior with an 8.52 average, then repeated in 2013–14 with a 10.00 per game average. He is one of only four players in Division I history to record 1,000 assists.
Stanley Onyekachukwu Okoye is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player for Zaragoza of the Liga ACB. A 6'6" swingman, he was named the 2012–13 Big South Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year while playing for Virginia Military Institute (VMI).
James Woodrow "Skip" Henderson Jr. is an American former basketball player known for his collegiate career at Marshall University between 1984–85 and 1987–88. Henderson, a 6'2" point guard, established himself as one of the premier players to ever play in the Southern Conference (SoCon), amassing a conference-record 2,574 points ; this total is second on Marshall's all-time record behind Jon Elmore's 2,636 points. Henderson was a four-time first-team All-SoCon selection, and as a senior in 1987–88 he was named the SoCon Player of the Year.
Derrick Walton Jr. is an American professional basketball player for the Motor City Cruise of the NBA G League. After going undrafted in the 2017 NBA draft, he spent his first professional season as a two-way contract player with the Miami Heat and their G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Duncan McBryde Robinson is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the NCAA Division III Williams College Ephs and the NCAA Division I Michigan Wolverines. He transferred to Michigan from Williams after leading the NCAA Division III Williams Ephs to the 2014 NCAA Men's Division III Basketball Tournament championship game. He was the 2014 Division III Rookie of the Year and a Division III All-American.
Kenny Robertson is an American former basketball player, known for his collegiate career at Cleveland State University in the late 1980s. From 1986 to 1990, Robertson set his mark as one of NCAA Division I men's basketball all-time steals leaders. Through 2020–21 he remains #15 all-time in Division I career steals with 341. He was the country's steals per game leader as a junior in 1988–89 with 3.96 per game, and he set Summit League single game (12) and career steals totals.
