Toontje Van Lankvelt (born 1 July 1984) is a Canadian male volleyball player. He was part of the Canada men's national volleyball team at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship in Poland. [1] He is currently playing for Hyundai Capital in Korea, but has played for a variety of other European teams throughout his professional career. [2]
Volleyball in Canada dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. Today, the sport is played at various levels of competition throughout the country.
The Canada men's national volleyball team represents Canada in international volleyball competitions. They are overseen by Volleyball Canada, the governing body for volleyball in Canada. The team placed fourth place at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and three bronze medals at the Pan American Games in 1979, 1999 and 2015. They have participated in four Olympic Games, including most recently a fifth-place finish at Rio 2016, after returning to the Games following a quarter-century absence. Canada hosted the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto where they beat Puerto Rico for the bronze medal. Canada competed at the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup in 2015 for the first time in 12 years, finishing seventh. They last appeared in 2003, also finishing seventh. They finished joint-seventh at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship.
David Cameron Lee is an American volleyball player, currently working as the head coach for Indian Club, Bengaluru Torpedoes. As a member of the United States men's national volleyball team, he is an Olympic Champion at the 2008 Summer Olympics, an Olympic bronze medalist at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and a three-time Olympian. He is also a two-time NORCECA Champion, a gold medalist at the 2015 World Cup, and a gold medalist of the World League.
Elvis Dalsires Contreras de los Santos is a male volleyball player from the Dominican Republic, who won the silver medal with the men's national team at the 2006 Pan American Cup in Mexicali, Mexico. He currently plays as a wing-spiker for Kazma sporting club.
The 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was held in Poland from 30 August to 21 September 2014. The tournament featured 24 teams to determine the world champions in men's volleyball. In addition to the host nation Poland, 23 teams qualified for the tournament by means of continental and regional competitions. The matches took place in seven venues across seven Polish cities, with the final being held at Spodek, Katowice.

Her 2020 Olympics win allowed her to complete the trifecta of winning an Olympic bronze, silver, and gold medal.
Wilfredo León Venero is a Cuban–Polish professional volleyball player. He was a member of the Cuba national team from 2007 to 2012, and is a current member of the Poland national team and Sir Safety Perugia. A silver medallist at the 2010 World Championship, and a two–time NORCECA Champion.
Taylor Lee Sander is an American professional beach volleyball player and former indoor volleyball player. As a member of the US national team, he won a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2018 World Championship. The 2014 World League and the 2015 World Cup winner.
Micah Makanamaikalani Christenson is an American professional volleyball player. He is part of the US national team, and is a bronze medalist at the Olympic Games Rio 2016 and the 2018 World Championship, the 2014 World League and the 2015 World Cup winner. At the professional club level, he plays for Zenit Kazan.
Thomas John Jaeschke is an American professional volleyball player. He is a member of the US national team, and a bronze medalist at the Olympic Games Rio 2016. At the professional club level, he plays for Halkbank Ankara.
Tyler James "TJ" Sanders is a Canadian male volleyball player. He is a member of the Canada men's national volleyball team, a participant in the 2016 Summer Olympics, a gold medallist at the 2015 NORCECA Championship, and a bronze medalist at the 2015 Pan American Games. Bronze medalist at the 2017 World League where he ranked statistically as the top setter. He won the Polish cup with Trefl Gdansk. He has been sidelined by a back injury, but has helped the Canadian team qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
John Gordon "Gord" Perrin is a Canadian volleyball player. He plays club volleyball for Russian club Ural Ufa, and was a two–time Turkish Champion. Perrin is a retired member of the Canada men's national volleyball team, participating in two Olympic Games, as well as winning gold at the 2015 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship.
Graham Saxton Vigrass is a Canadian former professional volleyball player. He was a member of the Canada national team, a participant at the Olympic Games, and a bronze medallist at the 2017 World League
Nicholas "Nick" Hoag is a Canadian male volleyball player. He is a member of the Canada men's national volleyball team, a participant in the 2016 Summer Olympics, a gold and silver medallist at the NORCECA Men's Volleyball Championship in 2015 and 2013, and a bronze medallist at the 2015 Pan American Games.
Steven James Douglas Marshall is a Canadian male volleyball player. He is a member of the Canada men's national volleyball team and German club Berlin Volleys. Steven was also a participant in the 2016 Summer Olympics, a gold medallist at the NORCECA Men's Volleyball Championship in 2015, and a bronze medallist at the 2015 Pan American Games.
Daniel Jansen Van Doorn is a Canadian male volleyball player. He is a member of the Canada men's national volleyball team and French club Tours VB, a gold medallist at the 2015 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship, and a competitor at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

The Canada men's national junior volleyball team is the men's national under-21 volleyball team of Canada. The team is controlled by Volleyball Canada, which represents the country in international competitions - Junior NORCECA Championship and FIVB U21 World Championships. The Canadian junior national team is ranked 7th in the FIVB world ranking.
