Toyi Simklina (born 23 December 1968) is a Togolese athlete. He competed in the men's triple jump at the 1988 Summer Olympics. [1]
Simklina competed in his first global championships in 1986, qualifying for the 1986 World U20 Championships in both the long jump and triple jump. He finished 19th in his long jump qualification group and 13th in his triple jump semi-final with a 13.53 m best, failing to advance to the finals in both events. [2] [3]
At only 19 years old, Simlkina qualified for the 1988 Olympic triple jump. He improved upon his 1986 best jumping 13.92 m, but did not qualify for the finals. He was the only Togolese field event athlete to qualify for the 1988 Olympics. [4] [5]
Six years later, Simklina would go on to improve his personal best to 15.10 metres in 1994. [5]
