Trevor Hirschfield (born December 21, 1983) [1] is a Canadian Wheelchair rugby player, who participated Beijing, London, and Rio Paralympic Games. At the age of 16, after a traffic accident where his van went over a cliff, he was paralyzed below the neck. [2] During the 2012 Summer Paralympics his team won 58–50 over Belgium with Hirschfield toppling their star Lars Mertens. [3]
The 2010 Winter Paralympics, or the tenth Paralympic Winter Games, were held in Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia, Canada from March 12 to 21, 2010. The opening ceremony took place in BC Place Stadium in Vancouver and the Closing Ceremony in Whistler Medals Plaza.

The Japan national wheelchair rugby team (日本全国車椅子ラグビーチーム) represents Japan in international wheelchair rugby. Japan is the third most successful team in the Asia-Oceania region, finishing outside the medal places only once in eight appearances at the IWRF Asia-Oceania Championship. Japan have won the tournament once, in 2015 and are also the 2014 Asian Para Games champions. They have reached four Summer Paralympics, with their best finish being 4th in the 2012 Games in London.
