Trey Kaufman-Renn (born August 19, 2002) is an American college basketball player for the Purdue Boilermakers of the Big Ten Conference.
Kaufman-Renn attended Silver Creek High School in Sellersburg, Indiana. [1] [2] During his time at Silver Creek, he became the school's all-time leading scorer. [3] During his junior season, he averaged 25.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. [4] As a senior, Kaufman-Renn helped lead Silver Creek to state championship. [5] He finished the season averaging 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.9 blocks per game. [6] A four-star recruit, Kaufman-Renn committed to play college basketball at Purdue University over offers from Indiana, North Carolina, and Virginia. [7] [8]
Kaufman-Renn redshirted his first year on campus. [9] The following season, he appeared in 35 games, averaging 4.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per game, making an immediate impact. [10] [11] Kaufman-Renn's production increased the next season, starting in every game. [12] [13] Against Utah State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, he finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in a 106–67 victory. [14]

Kaufman-Renn was raised by Lara Renn, a single mother. She played basketball in high-school, where she wore the same number Kaufman-Renn wears today. Trey has a younger brother named Jaylen. [15]

Silver Creek High School is a high school serving grades 9-12 located in Sellersburg, Indiana. It is part of the Silver Creek School Corporation. The school colors are orange and blue, and the mascot is the Dragon. Silver Creek's athletic teams are part of the 10-school Mid-Southern Conference. Silver Creek's boys basketball team won the 2019 and 2021 IHSAA 3-A state championships with its star player, Trey Kaufman-Renn, who currently plays for Purdue.

She was Indiana's High School Miss Basketball in 1984 and an All-America at Purdue.

The 2015–16 Purdue Boilermakers men's basketball team represented Purdue University. Their head coach was Matt Painter, in his 11th season with the Boilers. The team played its home games in Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Indiana and were members of the Big Ten Conference. They finished the season 26–9, 12–6 in Big Ten play to finish in a four-way tie for third place. As the No. 4 seed in the Big Ten tournament, they defeated Illinois and Michigan to advance to the championship game. In a closely fought championship game, they lost to Michigan State 66–62. The Boilermakers received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as a No. 5 seed, their second straight trip to the Tournament. In the First Round, they were upset by No. 12-seed Little Rock 85–83 in double overtime.
Caleb Sylvester Swanigan was an American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Purdue Boilermakers. He was ranked among the top prep players in the national class of 2015 by Rivals.com, Scout.com and ESPN. He completed his senior season in the 2014–15 academic year for Homestead High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, who went on to win the first state championship in the school's history. Swanigan was named Indiana's Mr. Basketball and a McDonald's All-American.
