The Tri-State Admirals are an American professional basketball team based out of New York metropolitan area, and a member of The Basketball League (TBL).

History

The Rochester Razorsharks joined the North American Premier Basketball for the 2018 season and planned to play in The Basketball League in 2019 before the team decided to sit out the season. [1] In February 2020, TBL announced the new Rochester Revolution as a 2020 expansion team, but that owner decided to move the team to New Jersey as the Tri-State Admirals. [2] [3] [4]

In 2021, league president, David Magley took over team operations and funded all costs. For the 2022 season, sports marketing consultant, and Columbia University professor Michael Dittleman became team general manager. [5] [6]

The 2022 TBL season is the fifth season of The Basketball League (TBL). The league expanded from 29 teams in the 2021 season to 44. For the 2022 season, the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC) announced that they had agreed to inter-league series play with several teams from The Basketball League. The games played between the teams from the two leagues are included in their respective regular season standings for each league.

The 2023 TBL season is the sixth season of The Basketball League (TBL). The league expanded from 44 teams in the 2022 season to over 50 in 2023. The National Basketball League of Canada once again will partner with The Basketball League in joint league expansion.
