Eupholus is a genus of beetle in the family Curculionidae. The genus includes some of the most colourful of the weevils. The colour may serve as a warning to predators that they are distasteful. Most species feed upon yam leaves, some of which are toxic to other animals. The species occur in New Guinea and adjacent islands. This genus was described by French entomologist Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Dechauffour de Boisduval in 1835.
The diamond turbot is a flatfish of the family Pleuronectidae. It is a demersal fish that lives in subtropical waters on sand or mud bottoms at depths of up to 50 metres (160 ft), though it is most commonly found between 1 and 20 metres. Its native habitat is the coastal areas of the eastern Pacific, from Cape Mendocino, California in the north to Baja California in Mexico in the south. The turbot is dark green with light blue spots. It reaches up to 46 centimetres (18 in) in length, and its maximum reported lifespan is 9 years.
Ischiopsopha are beetles from the subfamily Cetoniinae, tribe Schizorhinini. The genus was created by Raffaello Gestro in 1874. The type species of the genus is Cetonia bifasciata Quoy & Gaimard, 1824. These cetoniids have the tip of the scutellum visible. The genus is spread throughout the whole Australian region.
Lomaptera are beetles from the subfamily Cetoniinae, tribe Schizorhinini. The genus was created by Gory & Percheron, in 1833. The type species of the genus is Cetonia papua Guérin-Méneville, 1830. These cetoniids have the tip of the scutellum invisible, which makes the difference with the genus Ischiopsopha.
