Tod Rex Salvador (born June 29, 1965), known professionally as Tripp Eisen, is an American musician best known as the former guitarist of industrial metal band Static-X. He is the current guitarist for the band Face Without Fear, and a former member of Dope, Murderdolls, and Roughhouse.
Dope was formed in 1997, when Eisen met with brothers Edsel and Simon Dope. Eisen brought in friend Preston Nash to play drums, and the band worked the New York City club circuit. In 1998, Dope was signed to Flip/Sony records, and Eisen moved from bass guitar to lead guitar, bringing in Acey Slade—who had first referred Eisen to Dope a few years earlier—to play bass.
After the release of the album Felons and Revolutionaries (1999), the band toured extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada with acts such as Sevendust, Kid Rock, Static-X, Slipknot, Disturbed, Chevelle, Fear Factory, Staind, and Alice Cooper. During this time, Eisen met Wayne Static and Joey Jordison, with whom he would go on to collaborate. [1] Eisen appeared in the Dope videos for "Sick" and "Everything Sucks", and gained much notoriety from his wild antics and stage persona. He split with the band in late 2000. [2]
The debut album sold in excess of 250,000 copies.
Originally formed by Joey Jordison under the name "the Rejects" in 1995, Eisen joined after meeting Jordison on tour in 1999. [1] After touring as the Rejects until 2002, the band changed their name and released their debut Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls under the name Murderdolls that same year. [3] Eisen left the group in 2002 to be replaced by Dope bandmate Acey Slade, citing conflicts between touring plans and his work recording with Static-X. [4]
Eisen joined the band Static-X in the year 2000, after the departure of guitarist Koichi Fukuda. [5] He contributed to the recording of the bands sophomore album Machine, as well the subsequent releases Shadow Zone and Start a War. [6]
Eisen has claimed that a number of the tracks on the 2020 Static-X album Project Regeneration Vol. 1 were co-written by him and Wayne Static. He went on to accuse the band of attempting to alter the compositions in order to deny him songwriting credits, and to say that a legal claim he made against the band was the reason for the album's delay. In a response to a query from a fan on Instagram, the band claimed that Eisen had no involvement in the production of the album beyond compositional credits from his time in the band. [7]
In April 2019, Eisen announced a new project named Face Without Fear through a short promo video. [8] The group features Ken "Mantis" Hoyt (Crushpile) on vocals, TJ Cooke (Methodical) on drums, Dante on rhythm guitar, and Nick Sledge on bass. The band released "Deliverance", their first single, in June 2019. FWF played their live debut in August at Newark's QXT, New Jersey, in August 2019. The band released their second single, "My Parasite", in March 2020 and performed their first livestream event in June 2020. [9]
While a member of Static-X, Eisen was arrested on February 10, 2005, on a felony charge of statutory sexual contact with a minor in Orange County, California. He was released on bail after only a few hours in custody. Just two weeks later, on February 24, 2005, Eisen was arrested on a previous charge in California by New Jersey detectives, ultimately being convicted of the charge "luring with a motor vehicle". Upon hearing of the arrests, Static-X replaced Eisen with the original guitarist Koichi Fukuda (whom Eisen had replaced after Fukuda left the band in 2000). On June 24, 2005, Eisen pleaded guilty to the charges in California and was sentenced to a year in state prison. He was released later that year and due for an October 7, 2005 arraignment in New Jersey on the February 24 charges. [11]
Eisen was back in jail on December 10, 2008, following a parole violation. He was released on October 19, 2009. [12]
On February 23, 2017, Eisen gave his first interview in more than a decade. In an interview with Totally Driven Radio, he spoke about his arrest and subsequent release from prison:
There were two cases [involving two separate girls]. I had to deal with both things. And I got through it. [...] People can... It's been out there. It's been so long ago. That's why it's kind of hard to talk about it. But I'm here, I'm alive, I'm well, I survived it, and the fact that... It was difficult. [...] Horrible judgment. What happened to me was really bad judgment, terrible mistakes that I made, and I paid a price for 'em. [13] [14] [15]
In 2004 to 2005, BC Rich guitars produced a Tripp Eisen signature model of their Wave guitar. It featured in Gun metal gray, with two BDSM closed humbuckers, his signature on the back of the headstock and the Static-X symbol inlaid 12th fret. [16] In 2005 Epiphone produced a prototype ES-335 signature model, with EMG Pickups, locking nut, and no f-holes. [17] The ES-335 was, however, never commercially manufactured. After Eisen's return to performing from 2017 he has continued using his B.C. Rich Wave guitar.
Static-X is an American industrial metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1994. The line-up has fluctuated over the years, but was long-held constant with band founder, frontman, vocalist and rhythm guitarist Wayne Static until his death in 2014.
Machine is the second studio album by American industrial metal band Static-X, released on May 22, 2001, and recorded at Studio 508. When compared to the band's other albums, Machine features more electronics and industrial effects, and more screamed vocals from Wayne Static. It was also the final Static-X album for eighteen years to feature drummer Ken Jay, and the last for four years to feature lead guitarist Koichi Fukuda, who, despite having already left Static-X, was credited as a keyboardist on the album.
Shadow Zone is the third studio album by American industrial metal band Static-X, released on October 7, 2003. Marked by many personnel and stylistic changes, the album sports a much more melodic sound than any other work in their catalog, while still staying in the confines of their industrial metal and nu metal sound. It was the first of two albums to feature guitarist Tripp Eisen, and is the band's only album to not feature an official drummer, due to the departure of Ken Jay just prior to the album's recording sessions; drumming duties were subsequently handled by Josh Freese.

It is a compilation of previously unreleased tracks, remixes, cover versions, and the band's original demo tracks. The band did some touring in support of the album.
Koichi Fukuda is a Japanese musician, best known as the lead guitarist, programmer and keyboardist for the American industrial metal band Static-X; he has been a member of the band three times, initially from 1994 to 2000, again from 2005 to 2010 and since 2018. He was also the former lead guitarist of the bands Drugstore Fanatics and Bellusira.
Start a War is the fourth studio album by American industrial metal band Static-X, released in June 2005. A special version was shipped with an additional DVD titled X-Rated. It is the last album for 15 years to feature Ulrich Wild as a producer and/or a mixer, until Project: Regeneration Vol. 1 in 2020.

Emil John Schmidt IV, known professionally as Acey Slade, is an American musician. He is the bassist and one of the guitarists in the nu metal/industrial band Dope and a former guitarist of the horror punk and glam metal act Murderdolls. He is also the lead singer and guitarist of Acey Slade & the Dark Party and a touring guitarist of The Misfits. Previous to this, he served as the bassist in Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and as the lead vocalist and guitarist in the punk rock band Trashlight Vision, which broke up in 2007.

Antonio Campos is an American musician. He is the current bassist for the industrial metal bands Static-X and Fear Factory and the vocalist and bassist for the extreme metal band Asesino. He has previously played with Prong, Soulfly, Ministry, and Possessed. Following the death of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Wayne Static and the resurrection of Static-X, Campos is the longest-serving member of the group and the only one to appear on every album.
Right to Remain Violent is an EP by Murderdolls, released in 2002 on Roadrunner Records. It was released to promote their forthcoming album at the time, Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls. The three tracks featured are the same as the versions on the full-length album.
Cannibal is the fifth studio album by American industrial metal band Static-X, released on April 3, 2007. This is the first album from the band to contain guitar solos; every song with the exception of "Goat" has one. Cannibal was the first album to be produced by John Travis, and the first album to not feature Ulrich Wild, who produced and/or mixed the band's first four albums.
Cannibal Killers Live is a CD/DVD box set by American industrial metal band Static-X. It is the first time the band has released a live album, and contains footage from a live performance in Spokane, Washington. Cannibal Killers Live contains the entire library of the band's officially released videos, and is accompanied by a CD that contains the audio for the Spokane concert. There was also a special edition of the set which was only attainable through Static-X's website. The special edition included a third disc containing a concert filmed in Los Angeles, 1997.

Project: Regeneration Vol. 1 is the seventh studio album by American industrial metal band Static-X. It was released on July 10, 2020, by Otsego Entertainment Group and distributed by The Orchard Music, a subsidiary of Sony Music. It is the band's first studio album in eleven years following Cult of Static (2009), their longest gap between studio albums to date, and their first album not on Warner Bros. or Reprise Records. The album includes part of the last recordings of deceased frontman Wayne Static, who died in 2014, with his role being filled by a new frontman credited as "Xer0". Project Regeneration sees the return of the original Static-X lineup—bassist Tony Campos, guitarist and programmer/keyboardist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay—and was produced by Ulrich Wild, who has produced and/or mixed all but two albums by the band in the past.
