Tsvetanka Ilieva (born 1 March 1963) is a retired Bulgarian sprinter who specialized in the 400 metres.
She finished eighth in the 4 x 400 metres relay at the 1983 World Championships, with teammates Rositsa Stamenova, Pepa Pavlova and Yuliana Marinova.
Her personal best time was 51.89 seconds, achieved in August 1987 in Stara Zagora. [1]
The 400 metres, or 400-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field competitions. It has been featured in the athletics programme at the Summer Olympics since 1896 for men and since 1964 for women. On a standard outdoor running track, it is one lap around the track. Runners start in staggered positions and race in separate lanes for the entire course. In many countries, athletes previously competed in the 440-yard dash (402.336 m)—which is a quarter of a mile and was referred to as the "quarter-mile"—instead of the 400 m (437.445 yards), though this distance is now obsolete.
Tsvetanka Pavlova Khristova was a Bulgarian discus thrower. She won gold at the 1991 World Championships and the 1982 European Championships. She also won two Olympic medals, with bronze at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and silver at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Her best throw of 73.22 metres in 1987, ranks her eighth on the world all-time list.
Mariya Dimitrova Petkova is a retired Bulgarian discus thrower. In 1976 she won an Olympic silver medal behind Evelin Schlaak, a standing that would repeat itself in 1980. This year she also achieved a personal best throw of 71.80 metres. In 1982 she won a European Championship silver medal behind countrywoman Tsvetanka Khristova, who is twelve years younger. One year later Petkova won the bronze medal at the first World Championships in Athletics.

He is Grenada's first Olympic medalist. He holds the Grenadian national record in both the 200 metres and 400 metres.
