Jean-Jacques Goldman is a French singer-songwriter and music record producer. He is hugely popular in the French-speaking world. Since the death of Johnny Hallyday in 2017 he has been the highest grossing living French pop rock act. Born in Paris and active in the music scene since 1975, he had a highly successful solo career in the 1980s, and was part of the trio Fredericks Goldman Jones, releasing another string of hits in the 1990s.
Chansons pour les pieds was a 2001 album by Jean-Jacques Goldman sung in French. The album was recorded at the Théâtre du Cratère d'Alès by Eric Van de Hel and Gildas Lointier, assisted by Renaud Van Welden. All songs were written by the singer himself. Released by JRG, the album met smash success on the charts : it topped the French and Belgian Albums Charts and remained charted for almost two years, and was #2 in Switzerland. As the title suggests, all the tracks are devoted to dance and represent music styles.
D'eux is the third French-language studio album on a major label by Canadian singer Celine Dion, released by Columbia Records on 30 March 1995 in Canada and on 3 April 1995 in France. It was issued in other countries in the following months. In the United States, it was released under the title The French Album. The album was released on 28 November 1990 and spawned six singles which achieved success in France : "Nuit" (#6), "À nos actes manqués" (#2), "Né en 17 à Leidenstadt" (#11), "C'est pas l'amour" (#11), "Un, deux, trois" (#8) and "Tu manques" (#12). Michael Jones is a Welsh singer, guitarist, and songwriter who lives in France. He has made several hit albums and toured as trio Fredericks Goldman Jones and collaborated on a number of songs with Goldman.
Fredericks Goldman Jones was the name of a famous French musical trio made up of Jean-Jacques Goldman, Carole Fredericks and Michael Jones. Established in 1990, it remained active until 1996. After the amicable separation of the trio and the continuation of each in their solo musical careers, the three remained very close friends and continued to perform on special concerts together.
