Tuna Tuitama (born 25 February 2000) is a Samoan rugby union player, who plays for Moana Pasifika. His preferred position is wing. [1]

Early career

Tuitama was born in Samoa and grew up on the island in the villages of Mulifanua and Faleasiu. He attended Leulumoega Fou College where he began playing rugby. [2]

Professional career

Tuitama began his professional career representing the Samoa Sevens team in 2020 having played club rugby for Aana Chiefs. [3] In 2024 he earned selection for the Samoa nation 15-aside team, making his debut in the 2024 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup against Fiji, going on to make another 3 appearances in the tournament. [4] He was then named in the Moana Pasifika squad for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season in November 2024. [5]

The 2022 Super Rugby Pacific season is the 27th season of Super Rugby, an annual rugby union competition organised by SANZAAR between teams from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Samoa and Tonga. The 2024 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup was the seventeenth Pacific Nations Cup (PNC) tournament, and the first with a new format design. Similar to the 2019 tournament, the same teams played each other, with the same round-robin structure. However, unlike 2019, the 2024 edition had a finals series following the pool stage, to decide the champion.
